Back in the day it used to be : xetsr, Lutpin, Lauda, Cryptodevil, Blazr. xetsr was a VERY active DT member. Then he just disappeared. Never returned, and defaulted on a loan. Hope he is ok.

Now that most of those DT members are active, its now taken up by : Marlboroza, TP, Loyce, actmyname, DarkStar_,hilariousetc. Chipmixer squad lol.

oh wait, aren't all of them alts??  Huh

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Regardless, someone has to be the cop.  Can you imagine if no DT members were tagging these idiots?  Bitcointalk would have rules but no enforcement of them, and I suspect at least some DT members don't even think the existing rules are adequate.  I sure as hell don't, which is why I give negative trust to account buyers & sellers.
In an ideal world account sales just would be banned. However, I'm not sure how it would be enforced in all honesty. At the moment they are communicating through the forum, but if it gets banned then its just going to go to external sites. Maybe, that wouldn't be so bad? I guess then though account recoveries could be even more problematic than they are now.

Recoveries are nearly-non-existent now so can't be much worse, can it? Smiley

If you mean recovering an account by a seller after it's been sold - the solution is simple: don't buy accounts, or at least don't buy from untrustworthy sleazebags. As long as legitimate recoveries are functional and account sales are officially banned there shouldn't be any tears shed for account buyers swindled on some other sites.

But I don't think banning accounts sales would solve the real problem, which has more to do with why those sales exist.

Its already gone there, not only are these available in other "forums", there are websites intended for this purpose, so banning account sales is mere and beyond useless.

Look like mdayonliner is now sulken with his initiative (I think after red tag)
Haven't I had enough with making enemies here?

Someone with a big ego trying to bully others on his power trip. Forum is better off without him.

it is not a fair person! He did not understand any post in turkish but he gave a "negative trust" without any evidence for merit usage. This is a completely selfish and irresponsible act!

And finally from DTs...

Quote
Offering to be an escrow for a $100k+ deal despite having little to no trading history here and not meeting the criteria required by the op. Also seems to have been involved in ponizs going by the following thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4221113.0

Just because they are convinced that offering 20BTC to escrow was an act which could turn the earth upside down! Hack - the OP of that topic did not even select me for the service I offered to him. I even dropped my intereste when hilariousandco questioned it. Was the size of the mistake too BIG that hilariousandco did not even bother to wait for me to give him/her a response of my view but painted me red? Am I so stranger to the community even after making my way here to a Sr. earning all these merits from nothings?

Then again another one who just followed hilariousandco's sentiment...
I'll copy hilariousandco's sentiment: Offering to be an escrow for a $100k+ deal despite having little to no trading history here and not meeting the criteria required by the op. Also seems to have been involved in ponizs going by the following thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4221113.0 also read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4871094.msg44097168#msg44097168

Seems like sentiment gets priority over evidences and facts. What a nice demonstration of making the forum ponzi promoters scammer free? If I had another life before this life and if I would promoted ponzi in that life then they would tag me for that as well LOL

Finally...
This pretentious asshole got red trusted, what comes around goes around . Justice served.

Yes, I am done with making enemies, I am done with creating more haters.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

Thats a good point. And not just pointing with finger towards the "bad guys". As long as somebody can earn money with an account it has a value. And this leads towards growing and selling accounts. As long as there are buyer you always will find a seller.

-snip...
I do always think that you are a good person and deserve all the best because of your kindness and helping community. Your situation (red tag) can be discussed differently and you may aprove that you are not about to scam nobody, but Mods (not like police) are very strict and may tag you in a way of just warming other to take care dealing with you, but not necessary to demolish your reputation.
I read all your posts everyday and i still think you will rebuild your reputation based on your good behaviors and smart attitudes (whatever the color of your trust) and as i see Mods agree with me (even those who tagged you before). May be one day, they will change it to neutral if you convaince them enough.
Good luck

EndChain - Complete Logistical Solution

Please allow me to say that sometimes the forum police is needed. Think it like being in a city of millions which how this forum is. Would you not need cops to prevent crimes? That is how it is, people require policing because in our nature we are lawless beasts. There is a thing as overpolicing obviously but I prefer to have a few people go over the limit than no one to care what happens in the forum.

It is unarguably cryptodevil. He has remained resilient at exposing criminal activities in this forum without being distracted by their fighting back. I give it to him.
I will second that nomination.  I don't frequent the same sections as he does, but I sometimes get word from xtraelv about ICOs getting busted for scams.

As I said before however, Lauda was the top cop here until he/she/it apparently took a break.  I'm hoping this is just temporary and that Lauda comes back in full force eventually.

I wouldn't call it forum police per say but I believe ICOEthics does a great job.
He's a lower-ranked member, but I would agree with that.

I have to mention some members here, except active DT's and also few DT members which were more active in past I would give credit to xtraelv, ICOEthics, Coolcryptovator, morvillz7z, o_e_l_e_o, iasenko, Avirunes, TwitchySeal, Slow death, tmfp, sfr10, Be_Happy...and I probably missed few accounts.
