Be very careful of this new type of scammers in Telegram. They use the names and pictures of beautiful girls.

Unfortunately, this is human nature.  Even before our conscious mind can make a measured, calculated response; the unconscious has already picked up the [sexy] cue, and released a torrent of hormones.

The trick is to think of every beautiful girl profile as a wily scammer.  But, this is easier said than done.

I have a 'beautiful, sexy girl' profile on Facebook [that I don't use to scam people!] and my cousin knows it's me; yet, every now and then, he wants to chat, just to get that hormone surge from chatting with a beautiful girl, even if it's on a profile!

This is about the cheapest scam you can come across on telegram and unless there is something wrong, you are not expected to fall for this. People get added to several telegram groups without their consent. While some of this may be good, some are pure scam. Learn to leave scam group immediately you noticed.

Be very careful of this new type of scammers in Telegram. They use the names and pictures of beautiful girls. The way they operate is that they show themselves in the telegram chat of whatever coin you are into. They don’t directly private message you, but they say something to call your attention or somebody else’s attention to start a conversation and eventually take the conversation private.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS TYPE OF SCAMMERS!

Spread the word, we need to protect ourselves from them!.

I've read this Medium post entirely and it is very interesting. It is called social engineering scam. Good to know all tricks these scammers are up to. If they are doing that it means a lot of people are falling in these traps, so every warning is very welcome.

yes right, I have experienced an incident almost deceived by a telegram fraudster, he claimed to be the manager of a project and wanted to request my private key, on the grounds that he wanted to send tokens and other reasons that were difficult to explain, finally I broke all the rottenness. If we are not careful, then that will happen.

Education on scam issues is always important especially to members who are new to the world of cryptocurrencies. There are a lot of scam projects online, scamming people all in the name of bitcoin. The best security is always yourself, you need to follow safety guidelines so you don't fall victim.

Oh my god, this scam is like 1000 years old, they've existed in both FB and twitter for ages, now they just switched to Telegram and crypto
How actually brain-damaged should one be to fall for it? no offends, but believing in online  stranger girls hooking you up for your coins is very pathetic
just sayin', if you let them fool you - you had that coming one way or another Cheesy

haha I often meet people who are disguised themselves as sexy women and it is fake because there are many photos on Google. Be careful also scammers can also disguise as admin exchange telegram with the same name and they will trap you

As you mentioned i also suffer this same type of problem
recently i want to convert my btc to inr i used normally LOCAL Bitcoin to convert my btc
i was searching the buyer in that i got one telegram user it shows to different user in the same name it thought it could be the same person
i used to start chatting with him and he also agreed with my deal he told me send the btc to the address which is given by him
one thing i was made mistake i totaly belived him i send the coin to him directly after he recivening the coin he blocked me
so the users who are using local bitcoin dont send coin directly trade with security and follow the instruction which is given by the local bitcoin authority
this is the scammer telegram id @NAVEENGOWDANV1 dont trade with him

Recently, another way of scamming people on telegram is through the creation of telegram group chats where the developers/admins ask users to send BTC, ETH or any valuable coins to a specific wallet and receive a times two of the amount sent. How can this be possible yet people send them and get scammed because their own team members in disguise will lure people by posting pictures which shows that they have received the double payment after sending their tokens. Be cautious and never become a victim of such fraud.

You have got to be really dumb to fall for that. Moreover, it is a common type of scam, kind of like e-whoring but the only difference is that here the girl is shown to be ultra rich, unlike the typical method.
Rule 1: There are no poor girls on the internet.
Rule 2: Never go first/ pay a stranger for an online service when you aren't sure of its delivery.

That's a common method of scamming, recently my friend encountered a scam which we would never think about. He believed there will be official admin support for Binance on telegram. He searched and found it, and asked help on the process involved in verifying the account. He tried and in between some issues happened, and my friend reported to the same person carrying the Binance logo that it isn't getting verified. Slowly asked let me check with the email ID and further he started saying we need to pay around $60, now we understood and left the conversation.. Later got the msg when can I expect the transfer. So, we need to be very careful in this.

To be honest, there are so many scammers in terms of cryptocurrency. They're using the ignorance of other people and take advantage to scam money. That is actually unethical but we can't avoid since it was digital and we cant do anything about it but to accept. We just need to be more active and more careful in every transaction that we make.
