What FUD? At least make sense when you accuse someone. What about that statement made you fearful, uncertain, or doubtful? About what are you so sure that I am not informed?

Fact is, they could choose to keep all revenue in BTC, in which case they wouldn't need to find a service to convert. Yes, it would be risky. They've chosen not to take that risk. So it is the "fault" of Overstock.com - though a better word would be "choice". I'm not saying their choice is wrong (or right), I'm just saying that it is their choice.

They adapted their systems to bitcoin in a very short period of time (two weeks, as I recall). So it's unsurprising that some things got left out. That doesn't explain why they've not added it since; perhaps they are choosing to wait and see how it goes before changing their systems again. Perhaps they have other changes that they want to roll out at the same time, and those other changes are taking longer.

Logically I'd have expected them to save more money and risk by shifting some of their sterling revenue into bitcoin, so I'm surprised it's taken this long.

The thing is, Amazon seems to have a larger selection than Overstock. I wish Bezos would wake up and start accepting BTC.

I expect BTC international purchases to be a thing in the future, but the laws are grey enough as it is.  It might take some time.

As for purchasing from Overstock.  I have been buying from them to furnish most of my new apartment and have spend close to 2BTC there now.  I became a stock holder also.  I want to support a company that shares my beliefs and values and provides killer customer service in any way I can.

They must have started as "Overstock" (which I seen to remember from a long time ago), and later expanded into new items.
Accepting BTC was a great move for them; Just in time to get good publicity, before "everyone is doing it".

Look around, make a list of shit I want.  Went to put through a $2,000 order, and BOOM. They don't accept Bitcoin for international order.
