I'm trying to decide if it's worth being here.. i've already turned off my miners and given up on actually making money, so the question is.. Do i mine good coins and pay the electricity and just hope in 2-3 years the market comes back? Because I don't see it coming back before then.. Everything is so over mined that even the slightest of rallies will get squashed by desperate miners looking to make a dollar back.

It seems you were not ready to become a miner, many think that becoming a miner is very easy but the profits that you are going to get out of your equipment are very low so you only have two options to keep mining a coin thinking that the price is going to recover in the future or to take the risk with an unknown coin and hope that it skyrockets and neither option is very appealing to me.

Well, a lot of people here are in this space to get profit and this is a very honest answer. However, I only want to point out that this space is far more than the profit. The reason why so many people concentrate so much on the profit is the reason why the market has ended up becoming more speculative in nature and certain people do not get the fact that, as long as the currency aspect is not basically utilized, it makes no sense. The profit in the long run is just an additional benefit, but should never be the main reason why we are here, but to see the future of payment get better.

I agree with this, we are part of a revolution, it seems that many people really do not get it but bitcoin is as big as the Internet, the automobile or the light bulb, I find it interesting that many people do not seem to see that, in the future people are going to see the invention of bitcoin as one of the biggest inventions of the 21 century, one that liberate them from oppressive banks.
