Please checkout the first Ann page here on the details of randomSpike.  0.0024 is "cheetah diff".  There are concept of cheetah diff,  reset diff, and base diff (diff you usually see in litecoin or dogecoin).  Cheetah effect algo has 2nd layer of difficulty concept that do not exist in bitcoin, litecoin, or dogecoin.

That is why I labeled "Nengcoin - scrypt on steroids".  This is not normal scrypt coin.

When will this coin be on a large exchange with high volumes?

No information or prediction for now.  As of today, the dev and community has no money for listing at big exchange because they usually ask for very high price, which currently we do not have.

Community commissioner Sefia (discord) is leading the effort actively looking for external VC funding pitch, raising funds for future development (including, but not limited for listing at bigger exchange) by selling some pre-mined + donated NENG coins we have now.  But obviously I can not predict nor to say whether this will work out any time or not.

4th v1.5.x benchmark - phone vs computer vs USB ASIC
24 hours mining report

last 24 hours was nothing normal. Earlier was a shallow reset, fast block, big reward for ASIC rigs and USB ASICs. The middle of day base diff rose to 2, the big cpu miner timestamp attacker jumped in again, dominating CPU mining, sequeezed out pretty much all other CPU miners.

Later NENG blockchain did a shallow reset again, another boom for USB ASIC solo miners.

Here is three group of miner rewards count. Still the benchmark is same for android vs 1 cpu linux using --interval 10 in cheetah_cpuminer.

4 core android (--cpu 6 on 8cpu in UserLand app): 10000 NENG
1 cpu linux: 0

USB ASIC (futurebit Moonlander2) on two rotating nodes : 510,000 NENG

Android phone still managed to obtain 1 block reward in the middle of reset and big CPU timestamp attack. USB ASIC reward is above average, but not as big as yesterday.

spike block mined this morning
Here is spike block mined at 244k difficulty at block height 2419020:

Typically after spike block is mined, almost none of ASIC rigs can mine NENG for any blocks, CPU miners on "cheetah_cpuminer" software very much dominate mining NENG for 100% until reset. Now a big CPU miner is attacking NENG heavily with timestamp method, back and forth 4 minutes ahead or backward. With this timestamp attack, big ASIC rigs are mining into cheetah diff, although CPU miners still dominating, but not 100%. big ASIC rigs are very poor on mining rewards after spike, but at least they are getting some blocks mined on cheetah diff.

Typically, a reset to reset diff (0.000244) will happen after spike block, and boom for GPU solo miners. we will see this time.

Update:  NENG just did a shallow reset. Not good for GPU solo miners, but boom for USB ASIC solo miners on two rotating nodes

Currently NENG is only minable for CPU solo miners only for about 7 hours.  GPU ASIC can not mine NENG because NENG difficulty = 244000, too high for ASICs

NENG v1.5.0.5 released mainly for updated macOS installation script.  Recommended for new macOS NENG users, but not
required for existing MacOS NENG members.

The change is mainly on the installation scripts side while the binary CLI/GUI files are unchanged.  Homebrew 2.7.0 or later version had major change that deleted boost@1.55 repos and other API changes.  This script fixed  those issues.

In case you have trouble on latest homebrew version update, you can delete homebrew and reinstall, and use this scripts to setup NENG wallet properly.

Android phone mining report - Dual Mining NENG/CHTA
12 hours mining on my 4 core android, dual mining both NENG and CHTA overnight, 60,000 CHTA, 40,000 NENG. That is what I suspected. At least on my phone, SHA256 seems to be more friendly on android phones.

For those Nengcoin and Cheetahcoin USB ASIC solo miners, you might face difficulty of running both in same linux PC because of USB port conflict.

Android Dual Mining NENG/CHTA 2 Day Report
Mined 48 hours dual mining both Nengcoin (NENG) and Cheetahcoin (CHTA) in the same phone.
4 core old android phone. 8 cpu threads under Userland app linux.
Results:
Nengcoin: 130,000 NENG or 13 blocks in two days
Cheetahcoin: 190,000 CHTA or 19 blocks in two days

Again, android phone mining performance on CHTA is better than NENG.

Android Phone Dual Mining NENG/CHTA Report
24 hours of mining in my 4 core old android phone, dual mining both Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin together. The cheetah_cpuminer flag are same for both in separate screen session of UserLand app linux terminal:
python --interval 10 --cpu 6

The phone has 8 cpu thread.

24 hours dual mining results:
Nengcoin: 30,000 NENG
Cheetahcoin: 60,000 CHTA

The reward is down. Is it because of more competition or because yesterday Cheetahcoin had big reset? Not sure why.

I noticed that I mined some dead blocks of Nengcoin on your pool yesterday.  I think now your pool is good now syncing to latest block to the NENG block chain.

It is not a big deal for this issue for now. Just let you be aware of the issues on NENG of your pool yesterday and this may impact future profit of your pool if this happens again.

Also ping me in discord if you are in NENG discord so that I can assign you "pool operator" status in NENG discord channel.
