Ethereum network face some issues in the past like scaling, high gas prices, the platform was congested with many transactions etc. These were the issues in the past and hopefully they will be resolved with the upcoming development upgrades which Vitalik presented on DevCon4 end of October in Prague.

It might be the main reason why eth price drop heavily since most of the ico of the previous years are selling their eth  that being raised during their ico and it really affect eth priceat this stage but this maybe temporary  since there are lot of new ico being introduced to market and still an erc20  coins. In long run price may grow up as demand increases
