hey guys,

Some coins meanwhile hide transaction information - how much you send and who you are sending to your IP address on the network.
There are a lot of "privacy coins" out there, what do you think, which will prevail and be at the top?
Lets start an vote and discuss here Smiley

privacy or anonymous coins often cause controversy, but like it or not we need it. we know that privacy is an important thing that must be maintained and should not be known by the public, I like monero and I think monero still being the leader of other privacy coins.

There is one winner here and that is Bitcoin, I know some people think BTC is not a privacy coin but it is absolutely one and will certainly shallow all these Altcoins. There are alot of privacy features that would be added to it in coming months and the tech would be better than what if have seen in the space

In my opinion, Monero is at the very top of privacy coins. It has Ring Signatures, Ring Confidential Transactions, and Stealth Addresses. It is pretty stable and it is being used the most. I expect the pool results to reflect this.

Monero is the best and that won't change. So many of these other coins may be good for privacy but fail in so many other simple areas such as having vulnerabilities when it comes to security.

Yes Bitcoin is one of the best crypto  but it is not a privacy coin. Monero is the best choices if you want a privacy coin and besides it has a ring confidential transactions.

This is not a good profit to be a winner because the winners have been held by Bitcoin, but it all depends on the public interest in privacy coins, I don't like it because it is too much to be not transparent with what is obtained and what transactions, it will raise concerns about buying and selling illegal, being the best depends on the demand for privacy coins.

in the choices given, monero won because many had it and remained stable in trading even though it was hidden in the trade it still made a lot of profits and might be ready to be stored in the long term

Monero is undoubtably the king of privacy at the moment however whilst I hold XMR I’d say that my favourite at the moment is actually Spectrecoin (xspec).

What attracted me to this project is it’s small marketcap, it’s pos rather than pow, ring signatures, inside the TOR network so both sender and receiver remain anonymous and they are planning to release stealth staking in Q1 2019. New dev team have released the white paper, new website and recent fork to allow development contributions to ensure the project continues driving forwards.

Deff one to check out yourself rather than taking my recommendation

There are some more privacy coins like Hush and Ryo that should be added to this list. I do not know who will the winner but top privacy coins like Zcash and Monero are good to hold.

Hold Spectrecoin, Sumokoin and have held Verge in the past (pre Pornhub partnership).

Agree Spectrecoin is a really interesting project a has potential to blow-up. It has some great tech, but as we know best tech does not always mean leading coin...

Monero has best network effects... but TBH long term it looks like privacy features will just be integrated into the main coins anyway.

I bet on spectrecoin, but in future.

I mean now they have pretty good anonymity thanks to ring signatures and TOR(also coin have good block and sinc time if you remember Monero wallet speed). But now they have POS on regular wallet adresses. I think, when they make stealth staking technology on stealth adress then this coin will be really good for anonymity.

I hold Monero, Komodo and also some XSPEC. I have strong faith in Monero, am holding my Komodo til I can at least recoup my investment, and have totally given up on XSPEC. Yup, I fell for the shilling back when I was a noob and while I haven't lost a lot, it's definitely been one of my best lessons to date.  There's a lot more to a coin than talking the talk. Today's trading volume was less than 5000 USD. I mean.. come on. If XSPEC is truly as amazing as posters claim, then why isn't anyone buying it? 2.5 BTC total in buy orders on the order book in your highest volume exchange (Cryptopia) doesn't exactly inspire confidence moving forward,.. Huh

AFAIK there's already a thread that's asking the same question.

And the answer that thread got mostly is with Monero. That has been the best privacy coin.

The question is: Why would you need more privacy than Bitcoin already offers?

Already waiting for the XSpec-Shitcoin-Shills spamming the thread Grin

Because you want to be able to spend your money without worrying if some scrypt kiddy is going to target you for extortion or worse. If Hal Finney and the Evolution devs can't make BTC private enough, there's little hope for the morons on bitcointalk. But I'm sure your OPSEC is flawless  Roll Eyes

There is also Bitcoin Private, Shield, DigitalNote, ZClassic. Shield i think has the most features. They claim to be quantum resistant and they are multi-algorithm. But it doesn't mean that it will win the race. Monero is the most popular. ZCash is also not bad.

There are some loopholes in monero I just read in one article that I forgot. They have specified it very well. If I remember the token that is better than any other privacy coin I will put it here. But for now my vote goes to Komodo.
