The tax on online sports betting will be increased in the UK. The UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced a rise in British online betting tax to 21% in October 2019 to offset the loss expected from the cut in maximum stakes on fixed-odds betting terminals. The rise of tax on online sports betting was expected in the Budget, but some industry experts consider it may leave some operators questioning whether it is worth continuing to operate in Great Britain, given the current fiscal and regulatory environment. Richard Williams, Licensing, Gaming and Regulatory Partner at London law firm Joelson, said that although there had been speculation in the press that the Chancellor would increase the rate from 15%, the announcement that it will increase to 21% will come as a shock.
it's too high!! Shocked
It's not much! In Denmark online betting houses are responsible for paying 45-75% on their net profits!
Don't misinform. In Denmark, no taxes on online sport betting, only on gambling!
is there difference between betting and gambling???
Gambling - the act or practice of risking the loss of something important by taking a chance or acting recklessly. Betmatch is not for this!
Okay okay calm down Grin Grin

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

We have explored the startups in prediction markets and traditional betting houses and have found only one trusted, decentralized, and operating project - Augur, which is currently operating on the main Ethereum network.

Other projects, like Bethereum, FansUnite, FunFair, are primarily focused on betting traditionally and are working on some similar business models. But they contain critical problems, such as liquidity (market making) and user acquisition.

None of those projects have the solutions to the mentioned issues, significant market share, or market influence at the moment. And in our opinion, to create a successful project means to combine trustless blockchain processes, ordinary non-blockchain services and a self-scaling social system that allows low-cost user acquisition.

Betmatch offers its customers a unique betting platform powered by blockchain and secured by smart contracts.

The customers use Ether to place bets on various markets without having to transfer the money, so they are in full control of their funds until they lose a bet. The external third party cannot influence funds, bet execution or payouts, these processes are automatic because of smart contracts feature. In this way, Betmatch offers solution to several issues: players can easily transfer funds in the form of cryptocurrency without delays and without worrying that bookmaker will somehow influence the payout.

Thanks to decentralized nature of our betting solution, we offer full transparency and high security. We believe that trust and comfort of our customers are  the most important things for the success of Betmatch platform. The services we provide and the beliefs we adhere to will bring an inner change into betting industry, which was long anticipated by players all over the world.
