that decision was rational and selfish, but i envy his courage to take such decision, it may seems it doesnt worth it but the volatility of the crypto market cannot be predicted, am not of the school of thought that bicoin will rise to such magnitude, but i strongly believe the future is healthy for bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

He should be careful enough and understand the nature of the risk he wants to take. It could go either ways- he can either win or loose since no one can predict the future of the crypto market

Your friend is a very adventurous player. I would not have sold the car based only on the rumors of other people.The result can be quite different and the market in 2018 it shows.

My friend decided to sell his car and invest all the money in Bitcoin as some people predict that 1 BTC will reach 500 000$ till the end of 2019.
He totally believes in it and tells that then he could buy not only a new car but a flat also.
Does it really worth it? He uses his car for his work and now he wouldn't be able to do this anymore as he thinks there's no need to work anymore.
it's unpredictable whether bitcoin prices will be at a high point at the end of the year, buying bitcoin if you have to sell a car will be very risky because if there is a loss it will lose. but if it's the best choice according to your friend maybe your friend has thought carefully. |

Not a good idea selling car for bitcoin as we all know here bitcoin price are unpredictable from the start. There is no guarantee about the price to hit $50k by year 2019. As much as possible to think more before considering to sell any just to buy btc.

This to much risky decision because their is no assurance that it will gonna happen that bitcoin it will rise $500,000 its is not believable and that was a prediction only so that you don't know if it possible. Bitcoin value was unpredictable and their is no one can knows when the value of bitcoin rise again just like what happen this 2018 they said it will rise again but until now not rising.

For me, that's a good decision he ever had because the price will really go higher but $500k is too much for next year. I'd rather go for a commute than to used cars who are more expensive everyday considering the cost of the fuel here in my place. For sure, your friend will become a millionaire because of that decision, he's a real risk taker. |

If you think that you can earn much more in bitcoin by sacrificing your car then it is your choice. I just remind you investing in bitcoin is very risky and you just invest the amount that you can afford to loss. |

I think it is a good decision to sell a car for bitcoin investment because the car cannot have the same price after you bought it on the market unlike bitcoin that has possibility to give profit. I will do the same when I have it because you can earn big and buy new car after gaining a profit. Though the risk is big, there is no used to be afraid of that because in life there is no risk free. |

I firmly believe that your friend is right. The value of a car as soon its purchase will depreciate. However, from what I know and what people are saying the value of Bitcoins will grown in an average way (that is there will be numerous bull runs as well as huge corrections, but in general the price will go up), thus you friend would gain in the long term, I think he is on the right track. All the best for him!

He must have studied this decision well No. 500000 I think too exaggerated I think this estimate of John McAfee is known for his broad imagination BTC is worth the investment and the price is good now But not for 500,000. |
