Your Private key is your main card that if you revealed it to anyone you will lose your game at any moment. according to some people who got hacked recently most of the are victims of email that when you click it and they ask you your private key. sometimes people just giving it out of ignorance and that's why they end up being hacked all the time.

Private key is very important aspects in our wallets, hoarding altcoins/bitcoin are really big deal but be sure to keep it safely. If you can't write it down on a piece of paper atleast print a copy of your private key.

Actually this suggestion is not only for new people, but also for all of us who have a wallet! It would be better if there are people you trust, for example your parents or your good friends who you trust to know the password. It will help if you forget or are having problems when you want to enter the wallet you have. I think that doesn't matter.

Keeping your private key in safety is a priority for every person.
Private key called private because it should be stored privately and nobody should know about it besides you

It seems to me that the best storage of their passwords and keys is the good old way on plain paper. You can print or rewrite it manually. But do not lose and no one steals information from you via the Internet.

Yes if you want to secure your coins no one will know your private key, but I suggest better if you have family who you really trust give her/him your private key incase what happen to you or die they will use it because what happen to you and even your family do not private key it is useless.

Hi there!

To secure your keys, try to store them in multiple places.
Print them out and safe them on more than 2 places at least!
In case of fire for example.

Dont ever share your keys with anyone!

Greetings!! Cool

To keep private key safe, everyone should be careful! You shouldn't take a picture of your private key, you need to write down on an offline paper or diary. If you keep your private key online, then anytime it can hack by the powerful hackers! Otherwise, you may memorize your private key and that is not the too difficult task! And, The best way is to buy a hardware wallet, hardware wallet can ensure your wallet safety.

Perfect.

You don't have to give your private key even to your mentor. If your wallet has funds then don't just simply give it to anyone and trust them with your money that's not how you keep your private keys safe. You have trust to him because he taught you? no that's not enough, your money is your money and you have to keep it.

Most of people say beware of phishing but phishing is a large area to be discussed and it includes lots of other security things that a person should now.
First of all we should have a clean PC with no keylogger or any other software that can steal the clipboard (the place where copy-paste is stored)
Secondly use wallets as much as offline and use trusted websites if you choose online wallets or so.
Don't download any unnecessary software that you just see on the web. Most of them contains malware that will install those keyloggers or any unusual app on your PC to let the developers gain access to your PC remotely.

Don't click those popping ads because that's one of the source of those malware. I'm talking about those annoying ads that just pop out of nowhere, don't ever click them.

LOL. There are so many topics about this created before so I don't think you need to create one more topic to remind anyone about it Smiley. Beside, coldstorage wallet is available to keep all altcoin and token safe so I don't think any hacker can stole your cryptocurrency if you're using a coldstorage wallet.

That's good thing to do securing you private keys must be confidential. You should have a back-up files for your entire private keys saved on excel file spreadsheet. This won't endanger your funds to being lost, because no one could have access to it but you. If you planned that any of your family member be trusted, them do it because your family won't let you go during days of circumstances.

Remember to use the privatekey method to store your wallet is not a recommended way. So many people are still believing to use that way but they are all wrong about that. in fact that these guys must learn how to store privatekey through use another way just like use the json file and it can be encrypted with the password

Yea of course protecting  your private key is a necessity. The thing is, it is also good to have it with you, making it mobile, you can save it in your smartphone just in case of emergency and for safety I went as far as coding my Private Key.

E.g (Adding more digits & letter and also removed some);

Of course, the person that is giving their private key to other users is stupid enough. Make sure to treat your account carefully and if possible, never expose it online.

I think we should keep it out of our system and store in external drives like pen drives or any form of external devices, so in chance of hacking or any other malware attach, our private keys always remained intact.  This is I think best solution for our safety of private keys for our coins.

nowadays it is very dangerous to display our privatekey, many are deceived when following the airdrop which sometimes asks for private keys for the reason for giving tokens, but actually those who are like that are hackers to get the privacy of your wallet, so be careful

The best way (in my opinion) is the "old school" way to store it. Take a piece of paper write it down and keep it at least 2 different and secured location!

Yes of course don't leave you private key at your desktop or in your computer that easy to locate your key for you make it sure that you never stole you key  or just write it and keep it on your secret pocket and didn't get your coin. The best thing you use wallet was the hardware wallet because you and only you who are knowing that key and it also a offline wallet that never been hack you account.
