Holy fuck, how could I forget the classic "daily needs". Just actually search that in bitcoin discussion and see how much it comes up.

"Sir" is derived from the word "Sire", or "seigneur" in some other countries, and it was a form of address used when talking to a feudal lord, possibly a knight or a baronet. It was used by the serfs. It doesn't really have a use in the modern world other than as an obsequious form of address used by a shop assistant or waiter.

Sir is what you become when you become a 'knight of the realm' in the UK, but it's also just a title people give themselves to try command a bit of respect. It's pretty much one of the highest orders in England, and originally only the most 'noble' of society ever became one, but obviously it's an outdated institution now.

Ok, let me talk about why I don't like the word "Sir".

In our country, The word "Sir" dictionary interpretation is a polite language for adult males. It has been used for more than 1,000 years. In ancient times, this word was often used to refer to those who are highly respected, such as scholars and teachers.

But now the usage of the word has changed a bit. Usually only the service industry will use the word now. For example, the waiter in a restaurant or hotel will call me "Sir" , For friends, we will only call them nicknames. For online/forum friends usually refer to the other party as "my friend" or account username.
If someone uses the word "Sir" to call me in a forum, it seems to me that who have a "self-deprecating" meaning, and I am usually more willing to regard netizens as "friends" rather than "waiters."

So I don't like someone calls me "Sir" , and I don't like to see who uses this word in forums.
Forgive me for broken English, but I think you also have the same feelings for the word “Sir”.

Yeah. Another one is 'gentleman'. I really don't think we need all this faux politeness and respect.

My most annoying word should be on bounty section "Reserve". Once new bounty hit, you will start seeing Reserve, why it is annoying is that most of them have not even checked the project to see if it is a solid project or a scam.

"Merit". Mostly when it is used by someone who doesn't even know what it is and what is the fundamental function of it, and, specially when it is used in the title of a thread which indicates there is nothing good to read inside, but I still read it, I don't know why.  Grin
Meta and Beginners & Help have most of them in the recent times.

Other than that, the word "shit" also annoys me a lot of times when non-English speakers use it more than often and in totally inappropriate manners. If someone doesn't know when to use a word, they shouldn't do it. They might have a feeling that using these words make your writing better, but that's not right. It rather makes it more frustrating if you are not using the words in the correct way.

Many words can be described as boring here in the forum, one of the most used is definitely JOIN with the hashtag in front.

Mine is "Help". It is so annoying to see someone asking for it knowing that he don't even try to find answers and his question is searchable in the first place. I really hate spoonfeeding.

So I don't like someone calls me "Sir" , and I don't like to see who uses this word in forums.
Forgive me for broken English, but I think you also have the same feelings for the word “Sir”.
I understand because other members here feel the same way. Actually, I used this word often before especially when talking to high-ranked members but I stop after I experienced a little bit conflict regarding this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4973648.msg44892625#msg44892625. Even though I knew to myself that I have no intentions of degrading people and just showing my respect, I still decided to quit saying such endearments to avoid this kind of situations once and for all (even to my campaign manager).
Dear Sir Thermos,

I laughed so hard with this one particularly to "Thermos". Like a brand of vacuum flask? I guess enough internet for today lol Grin.

"breaks my heart"

I just seen a recent post about a person where his/her posts are being deleted (definitely a shitposter) and askin' here in the meta.

Quote
Hopefully my future posts will not be deleted and in return I am going to treat this as a lesson, because it really breaks my heart seeing my posts are being deleted Sad

It's very annoying and this person shouldn't be in here because the reason why we're here is to have good conversation and discussion regarding a specific topic not to look at our post counts. This quoted statement shows that he/she's just doin' bounties and it really "breaks his/her heart" lol  Cheesy

Also, I don't want posts that consist of "please help", If you want to know something kindly ask it directly or search them in google because there might be an existing topic long ago that's related to the information you wanted to know.

EARN

Earn is the most annoying word on this forum for me and I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned in 3 pages..

Everything is earn this, earn that, earn earn earn earn..

No matter if it's earn from a bounty, or earn from a signature, or earn from a hyip/ponzi, or earn from a faucet, or earn merits, or earn a high rank, or earn trust ratings..

It's like people are just here to get something and "earn" sounds so.. Entitled...

Saw a post from a newb the other day something about "How do I earn from the bitcoin core link?"..

Cheesy Cheesy  Same feeling,  like 'solid project', and in some cases, like 'mate',  examples. ' Hi mate, you know...'. I don't know but it's quite weird for me.
and another one is ' innovative ', listened too many times.
And also there some phrases like "Paypal of China,  Google of India".
Will add some others when I recall.
