How did this dude get the exclusive 2 hour dinner date with Satoshi? https://twitter.com/rnakashi   He's been tweeting about Bitcoin for a while now.

Yes, I'm behind, having mostly read only this thread and what was linked from within, plus a couple extra hops on my own accord.

Associated Press dude, their content is syndicated wider than any other press agency, even UK's (her majesties) Press Association have to subscribe to their feeds to get global content to UK clients. And don't get me started on 'pooled' events. It's normally AP/PA et al who get the exclusive access. At least in the UK there is a rule that if an agency is granted pooled access, they have to syndicate the content freely.

it's just how it works.

AP story is out: http://t.co/5BlkiggRJf

Guess what!!?? Is he THE Satoshi Nakamoto??

This answers my last question above.

It's quite possible that Newsweek is now the new National Inquirer.

What a tragedy. I predict that the wensweek jurnalist will be fired.

I don't think so! Rumor has it that Goodman's next article will be about Mark Karpeles' cat, Tibane.

Not sure how it's related, but BitBrew will be running an ad on the same page as the article.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Utah, two Mormon brothers take revenge on their dad when they were grounded for not bringing the family goat home on time.

Or she lied.

Therefore he is not THE Satoshi Nakamoto. Irony: I hope true Satoshi Nakamoto would never lie in any circumstances, even in the sake of saving his own life. :Irony  Smiley

Nakamoto repeatedly said "oh jeez," as he read private details about himself, quotes from family members and even specifics from his medical history.

"How long is this media hoopla going to last?" he said.

The doxer from Newsweek, Leah McGrath Goodman https://twitter.com/truth_eater

At least she's handling her Twitter account with grace as people chime in.

I don't think she realizes she's poking at a hornets' nest. The bitcoin community is not some pushover and there are people in this community who will make her life difficult is antagonized the wrong way, and messing with the (potential) founder like this is certainly one of them.

Damn straight! Quick, somebody shop a red nose on her pic.

The first one that does it and PMs me wins $10 USD via BTC. That'll teach her not be messin' with us.

Why not this?

I was too slow (and maybe sleeping) for the "clown mod", I'm, erm, a perfectionist  Grin

Travis Boyd replied to Satoshi Nakamoto's discussion Bitcoin open source implementation of P2P currency
"Thank you for putting this into the world.  It was needed.  Were you acquainted with J Orlin Grabbe by any chance? "

Hey, he might well have asked if he knew Sonny Vleisides.

I just thought of something. Not a single Bitcoiner ever saw the body after JOG supposedly died. Quick, somebody call Leah. Looks like a scoop to me. And, who were those three original founders of Laissez Fair City that jumped off that bridge in Costa Rica? (true story, BTW)

Maybe next time people will be smarter.
