It was a personal experience of the founder Raj Agrawal, who realized last year as he was losing or unable to claim loyalty points collected from Petrol station and Credit Card company due to the absence of a loyalty points accumulation system.
 
Further market research highlighted that big retailers and supermarkets can afford to spend millions on advertising, hardware, manpower training and technology to successfully run loyalty programs. However, small and medium businesses are struggling to establish customer loyalty for repeat visits and make them spend more on each purchase.
 
Dewber idea was conceptualized to benefit both business and customers:
