i think bitcoin will not bring end to paypal.
bitcoin is a crypto currency and paypal is an e wallet service provider and payment provider.
both are different but paypal can use bitcoin in future.

Exceptional opinion, I don't understand why OP connects and compares bitcoin and Paypal, aren't they different? bitcoin will not end like Paypal.

bitcoin has better technology than Paypal. and bitcoin is also a long-term investment asset

It is true that bitcoin is popular and more people are adopting to it but still, paypal as a way of payment online I believe cannot be replaced by bitcoin. First not all have visa credit card so they use paypal second not all have bitcoins so still paypal is an option. Third, not all accepts bitcoin or cryptocurrency as payment so paypal is still preferable.
I think that maybe that could happen, if the development of bitcoin gets better. of course the bank will accept bitcoin to deposit and withdraw, if the request from the bank user himself wants it? and of course you will easily use bitcoin to shop, with many bitcoin facilities, I'm sure paypal is increasingly left behind by its users

In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

I would not agree. I mean, we can see it as just another medium of payment. PayPal is mostly focused as a means of payment for people who purchased something online. It can also even be viewed as a money transfer mechanism where people can send money from one place to another. However, it can't be said to be an investment medium just like cryptocurrencies are that can be similarly compared to the stock market. You can't put some money in PayPal without such purpose of either as payment or money being sent. So, I wouldn't think that the two thing would clash.

Paypal is very convenient and reliable payment system ! I personally used it and returned the money from the financial pyramids ! Bitcoin will not be able to do this ! There are pros and cons but I believe that it will make Paypal better !

If Bitcoin is globally accepted, this is possible. Because of Blockchain's technology and Bitcoin's speed, security and convenience are different from bank and paypal which Paypal is ended.

I don't think Bitcoin will kill such payment gateways. Most likely, such projects simply implement their blockchain ecosystem.

Bitcoin is a currency and Paypal a payments processor. It's even more than a payment processor, search for "Paypal lab" It has some innovations there, and Paypal also owns few others companies. And since you compared BYC/Paypal: in terms of speed Paypal is the winner, security Paypal has nothing to be ashamed of, convenience Paypal is easier to use and used than BTC.

I think that it is not yet very correct to compare these two assets. After all, Bitcoin is already actively used in calculations in a number of countries.

PayPal is purely for a transaction, and Bitcoin nowadays is mostly used as an investment. Transactions via Bitcoin is not in that much volume that it can end PayPal. Moreover, BTC is sometimes too volatile and the fees also get higher, so people will be skeptical at points and rather they would like to use PayPal, which supports payment via Credit Card as well and direct payments and instant as well.

Wences Casares, CEO of Xapo cryptocurrency wallet and a member of the board of directors of PayPal, made a forecast about the cost of bitcoin in the next decade at the conference Consensus 2017, held recently in New York.

In his speech, Kazares noted that “the Internet does not have its own currency and it desperately needs it,” meaning bitcoin under this currency.

“The biggest mistake will be to buy more cryptocurrencies than you can afford to lose. It will also be a huge mistake not to buy Bitcoin at all, ”he told the audience. “Put 1% of your fortune in bitcoins and forget about it for 10 years.”

His speech also included a forecast of the cost of Bitcoin, namely, that it will reach $ 1 million in less than 10 years.

Kazares has been a technical business for a long time. As the founder of the first internet provider in Argentina, he became one of the earliest adherents of Bitcoin. Before creating the Xapo cryptocurrency wallet, he founded a retail bank in Brazil. In early 2016, Kazares joined the PayPal board of directors, and the company in turn called it “the recognized leader in the field of cryptocurrency payments”.

Pretty positive idea.
Very difficult to implement, since paypal will be against it.
But the idea is really good, safety first.

Paypal will certainly not be replaced by bitcoin. Maybe paypal will eventually start accepting and to use crypto and bitcoins as well. Paypal and banks will certainly stay with us for a long time to come.

I do not think so, one of reasons people love paypal has to do with the ability to get some buyers protection, that way if the product that you ordered is not what you were expecting you can get your money back and as we know unless you are using an escrow this is not possible to do with cryptocurrencies, so if people used crypto instead of paypal there will be millions of scams.

it seems that it will not be possible, although maybe bitcoin will rival Paypal, in terms of regulation and system, bitcoin is still far compared to PayPal for now.

new applications on bitcoin will compete with it and possibly supplant it. but this is not the main thing, the main thing is that we will be able to use any opportunities acceptable to us and quickly make payments.

No, I think that non-cash forms of payment, on the contrary, will only develop. Most likely, Bitcoin will also be served with bank cards and in my country it is already practiced. Bitcoin can be transferred to such a card, but it is no longer possible to withdraw it from the card. The card shows the amount in Bitcoin, although in fact it is displayed immediately by the bank. At any time, the duration of Bitcoin can be converted to another currency directly on the card and make a purchase. In principle, it is quite convenient.

I think Paypal is also still safe to use to save money and also to do online transactions. although bitcoin is faster, paypal is an official online transaction tool accepted by all countries.

No, I think they will take the initiative, to integrate it into their services, and at the same time, PayPal will facilitate bitcoin users in their transactions, both for those who will buy or sell. So, what is needed by the user is complete. And I think this is very good for the development of bitcoin at a later stage.
