Is it true that the market usually rises before the end of the year?
If so, why do you think it happens?
I spoke with few people that already said that in the last 5 years the market became really bulish

In 2015 2014 the market became slightly bullish in early summer going from low $400's to high $600's and finished the year in the high $300's.
Given that 2015 2014 is within the last 5 years I would say that it isn't true.

 edit: corrected 2015 to 2014

Based on historical performance of the crypto market, yes it usually does. As for the reason, I really don't know why. Bull usually starts to run on the 2nd or 3rd week of November but you can see signs as early as last week of October. Better to hold your coin now or you'll regret it later.

I started to join in cryptocurrency last year and I noticed in the month of november the price of bitcoin is rising. I'm sure all of us are happy that moment. But I really don't know why the price of btc goes higher before end of the year.

it is true that the market always rises before the end of the year but i would not use that as a standard for analysing the crypto currency market as it is not enshrined in the features of the technology neither is it the features of trading rules and regulations

From the history the answer is yes, usually starting from August the price already gradually increase, but don't make any investing decisions without research, the market situation each year is different so history price chart can't be rely, you still need to evaluate the market before buy or sell

pull out a chart and see for yourself. the market was very bearish in late 2011 and 2014. it was sideways in late 2012. the price did noticeably rise in q4 the last few years---2015, 2016, and 2017.

you might say this kind of rise happens more often than not, but i wouldn't say it's a slam dunk. plus, the data is very limited. i only have charts going back to 2010.

also, context is important. we just had a bubble, blow off top---whatever you want to call it---in december 2017. we had similar bubbles that ended in june 2011 and december 2013. you'll note that 2011 and 2014 ended negatively. i don't think that's a coincidence.

I'd say no, take 2014-2015 for example wherein the prices went high during the summer and pulled back to the mild $300 ranges during October - December. It's only very recently and in 2013 wherein growth was recorded on the last quarter of the year, and even those growths were cut abruptly before the calendar changed. I wouldn't bet much on these growths but will still keep my hopes up for any possible pushes.

I would say no. You can look back the market over the past years and see that it is not true. About the future, noone knows what will happen but I think there is no evidence that the market will rise before the end of the year.

if you see the experience from the previous year, the price of bitcon will rise at the end of the year, bro. but we don't know whether at the end of 2018 bitcoin prices will rise or not. because no one can predict the price of bitcoin

People who always depend on history forget that we're making history every second of every day.

Once upon a time it was literally impossible for BTC to go below its previous all time high. Then it managed it with ease in early 2015.

Assume nothing, expecting everything and you'll wind up less sad overall.

I don't think the price going up or down has to do anything with year end maybe a little bit? not sure, it could go up this very moment or vice versa lets just hope for the best.

Last year growth was unexpected. The main reason of this growth was "BITCOIN FORK" news. Too much buying started before FORK to get the FRee coin. Rising like last year we have to wait for Big news. If the market goes like this no chance for rise like before.

this is public information, to verify the first part you just have to open up  the history of the price (a chart like bitcoinwisdom will do) and then look at what happens to the price at the end of the year each year for the past 9-10 years.

the second part however is speculation. even if price were going up every year that still wouldn't mean it should go up this year too. although we may see some rise, not because of repetition of history but because price has been at the bottom long enough and it should make a move, down was proven that is not an option anymore so up is the only way left.

There is no truth to that. It is just because December is the time where people get bonuses and earn much more in these days so when there's a lot of people that has that money, they can buy things they can't before and spend it like rich people. So there is the assumption that some of those people will allot those money to buy crypto.

I do not have much experience with this obe but last year, as a year ender, I saw how bitcoin gradually increase and from that I have seen threads saying that every end of the year, bitcoin's price really goes up.
