Not always the case though. The case wherein the price  grow at the end of the year is that usually that time people have lots of money that time (bonuses) and then there's this cross border payments scheme.

Migrants workers uses bitcoin to transfer money thru their love ones back to the country (Asia and Africa), around in December might also added to the continued growth of bitcoin and crypto as a a whole.

Almost every year the market showed growth by the end of the year. But there is no guarantee that the situation will repeat this year. Whales manage the market. As they want - so be it.

We never know what this month will bring to this market, ,most of the time this month brings good hype for crypto, bitcoin will be pumped and most of those good quality alts will follow, if bitcoin start its rally and make a stronger runs then the history will just repeat itself and will bring a lots of profits for people who's still trusting and believing that things are still positive with their investment, we just need to wait and calmly hold for those coins that we trusting our investment.

Based on historical performance of the crypto market, yes it usually does. As for the reason, I really don't know why. Bull usually starts to run on the 2nd or 3rd week of November but you can see signs as early as last week of October. Better to hold your coin now or you'll regret it later.

interesting. someone told me that it's because people need to declare their income to the government and many people invest in crypto to avoid paying taxes, which happens at the end of each year.

Basically not all of those years are good at the end of the year, there are years performed poor and didn't showed what people are desiring to see. If you will take a look at the past years, you'll see some of it didn't rose.

The fact that it was last year does not mean that this will happen this year. Why do you think so?

Definitely, it doesn't mean just because we saw the market rose last year things for this year will be identical.

Give me 100+ years of a data and I'll give you an answer. At this point, it's basically just a coin flip.

Besides, we just had a strong 3-year bull market and a parabolic run at the end. 9 months into the correction, it's premature to start planning on lambos and such. Even if Q4 is bullish, I doubt it's the start of a new bubble...... probably just the start of a new trading range.

Yes, because people has money when the end of the year comes. They usually receive some bonuses and some would consider investing in somewhere and cryptocurrency is one of them that's why price usually goes up. There is that anticipation as well that price would go up at the end of the year that's why people would then buy anticipating the price increase. For the past years, it happened that's why there is a higher chance it would be the same this year too.

No, it is not. It happened once and also there was end of years where the price didn't moved at all as well. Back when the price went up to 1400 before the mtgox deals and it dropped to 200ish dollars during late November or so, which means one of the biggest drops came during last months of the year.

We have seen one of the biggest drops in bitcoin history during the end of the year and we have seen the biggest increase ever at the end of the year as well, bitcoin can do anything at the end of the year and there is no possibility of considering it will always be the same every single year.

Hey if you look at the charts for the years of 2011 and 2014 you'll observe it displayed bearish tendency, however in the past few years and especially in last quarters of the years 2016, 2017 the prices shot up. It's really difficult to conclude will the same feat be repeated again, as there were lot of positive news and public sentiments were preety high back then.

There is also a theory which says that during festival season people tend to use bitcoins as a means of gifts which increases it's prices, we'll have to wait and see how the prices shall be effected in coming months.

It is truth and this has happened several time in the past.  Bitcoin do increase in price at the end of every year and we should expect the samething to happen this year.  Bitcoin will move upwards in December and November but it might not be as it is last year.

The last five years market was mostly equal because there are two spikes are available one april hype and another one October hype. So we should wait and see the October hype. Most of the peoples are panic to invest in bitcoin ao automatically demand is recent day. But we don't know how days it will continue in the market. I hope bullish market is nearly waiting for next week so we must buy more bitcoin in this week then peoples are believe the bitcoin potential.

For me, I just depend on the situations may bring to all of us here buddy. We really don't know what will going to happen, unless there's a miracle and those big whales will be impress with the market so they'll be able to put up their wealth again to cryptocurrency. Thinking for that before the end of the year is a good motivations, because if it wouldn't happen I guess many people will lose patience as well.

Well, from what I have witnessed so far it happen 2017 towards the end of December of that year and which may likely happen this year but not to the turn or height of last year though. I will attribute such increase to the fact that people really want meet up with their end of the year/Christmas demand and that will push them to look for where they can make fast profit from their investment and that was why they invest in crypto currency market at a time like this.

every year has different scenario as this technology will depends on the supply and demand. The demand will be subjective to the news that happens around cryptoworld. I will just hope that this year will also good but I'm not expecting as good as last year.
