Before you open up a new Thread about your " Banned Account " maybe your questions gets been answered here !

The most reasons why Accounts gets banned :

• Plagiarism (copy/pasting)
• Sending unsolicited PMs to Users
• Posting Malware Links
• Hardcore Multispamming
• ..........

If you do not know or have no idea why you were banned you can use the Search Field and type in Forum Search your Banned Accountname !
I guess the most time you will find the reason why you got banned in LoyceV's Thread : Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban

Another reason can be you got reported from the Spambuster's , iasenko's  Thread : [CLUB]The SpamBuster!4 Cases open,over 3000 accounts, Reviewed:5000+

You can also look at the modlog about your banned account !

-Get your user id from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile  and copy your User ID from the Browser Adress field  



- Go to https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php  now you have to press the key combination Strg+F and you get an search field at the Bottom left

Strg+F = Ctrl+F on an English keyboard.

Also it depends where your navigation bar is and what browser you use where the search bar will appear.

Chrome top right

With Windows explorer and Windows Edge it was on the top left.

On a Mac (Safari) Ctrl F doesn't work.

Safari for iOS 7. Open any website, tap on its URL at the top of the window, then clear the URL. Type your search query into the address bar and then scroll down to the section that says "On This Page".

-Type in there your User ID and hit Enter and you should see a result in what Thread you got banned

I agree. I have seen a great majority people come here and complain why they be banned but they don't know the reasons. But I think the main reason to be banned is copying from others's writing. They always blame to other people, their sisters, their wife etc.. log in their account and post or they posted when they were tipsy, so they weren't lucid enough to write a post. I think it is a bad lie. Everyone who copy paste others's writing are all lazy. So I agree with this management. Let ban them like that. Let's reflect and write your opinions. Do not copy paste.

Also, even though this is helpful it wont stop them from coming here to spam about their ban because they know why they were banned, 90% of the cases I've seen the banned guy knew what he was banned for, he just didn't want to admit and thought he would get away with it.

You can remove the part with the ban appeal at that address as it seems nobody is reading those emails or they take their time doing so

I don't think they work applying via that email. I'm not sure how often it's monitored if at all but if it's not or rarely is then it should probably be changed to direct people to meta instead as they're much more likely to get help or answers there.

It would be far better to have a ban appeal thread stickied to meta and insert the link to the topic in the ban message, keeping the whining in one place.

And also, to move all the topics to a stickied 'merit' section to have all the topics together which has the 'merit' in the subject....
Meta is really polluted now, it should have less posts if the forum works fine, but now Meta is the place for the normal discussions which is not a problem for a short time but for the future it should be used for what it's been created for...

And what happens if they are too lazy to read that they have to use the existing thread? They newly created topic will be deleted by the mods and they will sooner or later realize that if they want they account back they have to follow the rules...

Yeah, a thread like this would be useful if 1) plagiarists actually read such things, and 2) they didn't all think their case was special enough to merit forgiveness and an unban.  Even if this gets pinned to the top of Meta in big bold 96-point Gothic font, these morons will still be creating "help me!" threads begging for their bans to be reversed.

I am nearly 100% sure they are absolutely too lazy or illiterate to read this thread.  Good effort, great idea, but it just won't work because of who we're dealing with here.  I'm actually surprised most of them are able to find Meta and know to post there about ban appeals.
