Poloniex and HitBTC have lot of accusations against them and they were still unsolved those so if you want to start trading in those sites you need to be aware of these risk and also I don't support HitBtc because of their fee structure which is very high when compared to Binance or other exchanges.

They are really going big day by day. Very easy to use and they really think about customers. And then I will chose switched. I know many of the people don't know about it. Very true, yobit has so many crap coins listed and after couple of months delisted owed to the fact that they have no more value. They are very easy to use. Traded in that exchange many times also (just to get rid of those crap coins). lol HitBTC is I believe has higher standards than yobit.

I am more of a fan for DEX exchanges for privacy/security reasons. Centralized exchanges can be good but then when bad things happen these are the exchanges which are targetted. Also, the price these exchanges charge for listing coins is way too much.

I hope 2019 will be a year for DEX.

Poloniex hasn't been a strong contender since early last year, can't believe anyone is still trying to use them now. That's completely their fault though, they were a really good exchange until their customer support got so shitty and then everyone left. Binance will probably end up like that too if they grow at the current rate without expanding their team of customer service.

Waves is something I use too, but their volume is very, very slowly increasing so I wouldn't give up on them.

This is true as I agree with this also.  But in the recent days the coinmarketcap have also shown that OKEX to be the top exchange in the space with reliable Volume together with Binance. Forkdelta is an improved version of Etherdelta if I remember accurately. You can add your own contract for trading there and so many fake contacts are trading on Etherdelta with the similar name of the real project.

Best so far is Binance, it has a very easy and user-friendly interface, but I sometimes love trading in mercatox and coinex too

even though there are better ones, I have never left a reference made by https://coinmarketcap.com
everything is done simply because to avoid many scams and many incidents.

There's a lot of complains that I've read lately about Tradesatoshi though I haven't used them personally but that urged me to avoid them. If I have read a bad review regarding an exchange and it's not an acceptable reason, it's fair to say that just stay away from them and avoid them at all cost. Binance seems to be the most popular and most used exchange so far, I'd like to get along with those people that are saying that it's a good one because it's a fact.

according to my personal opinion: Binance,bittrex,kucoin,Huobi Global,and  Upbit are best exchanges. all of are good and they has huge volume daily. among all of them binance and bittrex are best near to me. most of the time I use binance and bittrex.for my regular trade binance and bittrex very friendly.Sometimes I use another exchanges that I mentioned.I also use ERC20 based etherdelta/forkdelta exchange but very few times.

The above-mentioned list is very good but when it comes Yobit, there are many people facing a lot of issues with this exchange.  Rest all of them are very good exchanges for the trading because most of the coins listed in those exchange are very good but sometimes exchanges are facing problems in choosing the best coin for listing. We need to be very careful with some of the coins listed in those higher volume exchanges.

one of the worst exchange is Hitbtc.if you want to deposit BTC at your Hitbtc wallet they would charge you Bitcoin. It's one kind of worst exchange for this reason. also if you want to withdraw ethereum form your hitbtc wallet they would charge .04 eth!! really? yes, they did it. so why I just avoid this shit exchange.

Why the hell they would charge you a depositing fee ? We all know that depositing a coin doesnt have any charges but im also aware that hitbtc have a high withdrawal fees since i use it along time ago  , i remember i traded my alt to btc but i was shocked to see the insane fees , i dont have a choice but to continue withdrew than to leave my coins on them  . others that are listed above are also popular and known to have a good service but that still depend on the user if what he prefer .

Well, i think you have missed the Bittrex , poloniex and HitBtc  exchanges. Bancor, Bitrue and Coinbene are relatively new exchanges and i doubt they are good choice for trading.

Yobit? really? This is a scam exchange.
Personally, my top 5 is :
1) bittrex
2) binance
3) rudex
4) forkdelta
5) livecoin

I have never had any troubles with this exchange such as blocking account, frozing balance, etc.
