How Am Currently Being Scammed At Mercatox

What happened::
About 2 weeks ago, I went to perform normal trade transactions on the mercatox platform, as I tried placing a sell order I received a prompt saying "Error: Sorry, but you are not allowed to place any orders by Security Department. Please contact support".

I opened a support ticket and support replied me that they specially selected me to be verified before I could perform transactions on the platform, but every other users could use the account and be restricted to withdraw just 1btc per day if they don't verify. I wasn't happy for the excuse they gave.

I did the verification and until now, they refused to verify me and restricted me from selling when my token makes profit and from buying when I identify a new market entry. The most annoying being that I cannot withdraw my money.

Please while you note the scammy behaviour from Mercatox, what is more important to me is the recovery of my funds, then when the case is resolved, I'll notify everyone in this thread.

Additional Notes:
To me, this exchange has been creepy recently, with my funds being locked out and anyone complaining too much on the trollbox getting blocked till 2023, so I can't vouch for anyone choosing to go to trade on the platform, and this includes new projects trying to launch their tokens there.

However, If they can resolve these issues, I will close this case. The behaviour they exhibited recently are the types from which I've been scammed on the crypto space.

Just like everyone with a dark side, they've got a good side though, their low withdrawal fees and the speed at which funds are being transferred is what kept me at the exchange, but recently, I have no good testimony of them.

Hello guys, today being the 12th of November, 2019, exactly 1 month and 7 days after illegally holding my coins, they finally sent me a message saying that the security ban on my account has been lifted. This is happening after the value of my account has halved. Who is now going to pay for all the loses I made and the time they stole from me. I still reserve my anger towards this exchange, but I've got to let us know they have finally enabled me to withdraw from the platform, thinking of which other trade I can do to and on which exchange to do the trade to recover my monies back. Thanks for all your supports and contributions so far.

Hello, i am one of user of mercatox too.
I Never have any problems with this exchange but one time month ago i make a double click on mose when i posting a sell order, and then it come "ERROR-CONTACT SUPPORT"
And after this i can't make any transaction. After speaking with support and after veryfing my acoount everything come to normal

This action was closed after 2 days so i have no problems to mercatox, in my opinion it's good exchange

I still have not been verified, this is about the 14th day, so I really don't share this kind of testimony you bear. And also when I asked them about what happened, they said they picked me out specially to be verified, yet it takes them this long to verify me and my account has been banned for 2 weeks now. The sum of it all is that I don't have a good experience at Mercatox and all I need is my money.

It is not solved, they still kept the account locked and refused to verify me. Neither are they saying anything concerning the document or any further requirement. They just kept my funds locked for no just cause.

I have edited the post. Do I need to move the post to a more busy thread? Because I really don't know why a trader will not be able to trade his account for this long. In a very bearish market, I could well lose over 70% of my account portfolio in this short period. Notwithstanding the amount of profits I could have made pending when the verification is completed. Other sites like IDAX and Bittrex, including Quoine, Kucoin and some other ones where I verified, it takes less than a day to verify. And also I've never seen a situation where an unverified account has the limitation of trading his account, the ban is usually placed on withdrawals. 2 weeks and no news from Mercatox on what is going on with my account.

Well I don't plan on giving up until I get justice. And also I wish they can be sued for damages but it seems they are anonymous to a very large extent and only have little of their name to defend. Financial strength aside, there are things you can do to try and convince this type of scammer to refund you. You don't have to spend money you dont have to raise awareness. You have to be dogged and persistent to get noticed, even if it feels useless, keep going at it. Pm me, and I will try to help you spread the word at no cost every now and then.

This is not good I have two coins on that exchange , this is one of the reasons why I still do not deposit my coins that are listed here because of this issues they should have a support team to answer these accusations here on Bitcointalk, they are on their way to becoming the next Yobit with so many accusations here in Bitcointalk scam section.

I can't understand how they keep being in operation with this level of clear scam. They still operate and keep themselves as though they don't care and that no one can bring them down. Thanks for your contributions @robelneo

Thanks for helping me out on this, I'll definitely update it when I get my fund back. But I wish more that all users on Mercatox currently get to know how fishy the exchange is and withdraw their monies from the exchange, let's see what their next move will be.

Answer: They still have customers because many people do not do research before using the exchange, many people think that what happened (having bills blocked, money stolen and support ignored) with others was an accident and with it not going to happen the same thing with them, so people continue to use shady exchange.

The funny thing is that most of these accusations have not been resolved and they're still in business. It is not right. Are there no authorities that can either temporarily inform users to pull funds out of the exchange sequel to an order that the exchange domain will be temporarily suspended until the perpetrators reveal their identity and prove their innocence. Something has to be possible, these people ought to be regulated. Am seriously annoyed over this situation. Suddenly they blocked my funds and restricted me from trading. No valid reasons. I verified, account stayed as unverified and still locked out for about a month now. What kind of thieves will I call this one?

These guys are real thieves, I don't need to be taught otherwise. Today they sent me a mail saying that my verification is denied, without stating the reason for the denial. I logged into the account only to see the message written bold again on my profile, asking me to check tickets for details. The funny part is that the two tickets I have opened, they closed them automatically and marked them as resolved. What do they really want with an account that is worth less than 0.1 btc. These are petty thieves. But they will not run away with my money. I must get it back.

I will leave the negative feedback on them since they didnt care to explain why they blocked your account and you lost money because of this. You should do the same.
