Don't start your day by checking the price of bitcoin in the morning.

Many investors get addicted to checking the price of bitcoin first thing in the morning whether it be they're semi-holders or HODLERS (aiming to hodl for a very long time) . I read somewhere in respect to the stock market stating that, 'many investors day is determine by the price of his/her investment, leading to a great start if the price is up and bad start if price is down", because they checked the price of their investment first thing in the morning.
Although this information was based on the stock market, I know it also occurs in the Crypto market therefore I decided to give this advice here to benefit members of this forum, "avoid checking the price of bitcoin immediately you wake up in the morning, by so doing you're subconsciously programing your brain to response based on the price of bitcoin daily and these isn't good for your health. there's no gain in having wealth without health because health is wealth.

Question for viewers, if an investor is struggling with this addiction (checking the price of bitcoin daily), what steps do you suggest he uses to overcomes it.


Edited: this is an advise to investors not day traders, findings have shown that day traders don't live long and majority of them develop High blood pressure over time.

Edited: advise is for bitcoin not some shitcoin wanna be bitcoin, if you invest in any of those, please check them every 5mins for that big pump so you dump lol

Personally I check the price from time to time especially at the end of the day. In the morning I tend to see lower price. Of course this depends from the geographical location of the user but if you are just holding for the long run then simply check the price biweekly.

I think we cant escape looking bitcoin value every time we woke up in the morning, every time the sun rises and my eyes opened i grab my phone and look the value of coins i hold and my start with that, its also because i do day trading if possible even i see that my investment gained small amount of profit i do selling.

Some investors may be involved in some form of active trading, with bitcoin or possibly with alts. And as such they can't avoid coming across hmthe price of bitcoin regularly.
If a hodler is held up with other engagements, they would probably not have time to check up on their favorite investment.
Best to keep busy with work or recreational activities.

Crypto market were never sleep because it was trade for world wide and to avoid missed the train then i think it's normal if people to do so although that's not good for our health but this is the risk we must accept when decide to became an bitcoiners and as far as i know crypto market price has been change almost for every minutes and it is nature if people wake up in the morning and checking the price because it can be good reference to them for further move

I'm not a active trader right now, just lurking around so I haven't done any checking of the price specially when I woke up. But I remember that as traders we shouldn't be emotional right? So if ever you see the market crash in the morning then you it should not affect you but at least try to digest what happened in the past 24 hours.

For day traders it is important to check it early otherwise they can miss the run of the day. Bull runs move quickly so if they don't buy early they can miss out on major profits

Checking bitcoin prices too often promotes anxiety and mental stress, especially if you are invested and you are relying on bitcoin to make up most of your money. Best thing to do to avoid such is to just keep yourself busy and do things you need to do in order to distance yourself from checking the price. Seriously, there's no need to always check the price if you're not a full-time trader since the price will only give you anxiety and you can't do something about it, as you only hold coins, not toss and turn them.

If the person is day trader it has to check the price because it's their work but if it makes the investment then it does not need to check the price on the regular basis.

Good point and it can be applied to us. I do check the prices everyday not only for bitcoin but for the top 100 on CMC. But the good thing here is I'm endured with what I'm about to see. If the market is green then my day's going to be better but if I see numbers full of red then I'll just react like "just like the typical red day" which is normal to me right now. Where have you read that?

Avoid looking at the trackers, this is the first move that he has to do but if he can't resist it set a plan and schedule of doing everyday routine like exercise.

I once have this routine that I checked bitcoin and ethereum's price first thing in the morning because I am a HODLER of these coins. However, I realized that yes, it is not good because whenever I see that the price becomes lower, I feel bad for the rest of the day. What I did to overcome this is I started to be busy with other things too.  Then I put a mark when I am going to sell my coin so I will not be obsessed on checking the prices from time to time.

and what's wrong with this "addiction"? money loves the account, as one old wisdom says! And in general, the cryptocurrency market is not famous for stability! Therefore, I recommend holders and investors to check the value of their investments more often!

I agree to this and this is a fact because most of my crypto friends including me is doing this and were guilty but not to the point that we are very addicted in doing this stuff. For me personally, it is a good thing for traders who need to monitor the price but for someone who are not and the one your refering hodlers that will hold for a long time is not a good habit. I suggest that they uninstall all the crypto apps even their folio.

he need to adjust his daily life activities and if he cannot change it. seriously he need to ask a psychiatrist  for a counseling because it is now become a serious matter to him. if he cannot avoid this kind of act it surely make him stress on his everyday basis. before that happen he need to go to check up.

By the way, I agree that this kind of behavior is useless. Bitcoin price won't be affected by your activity.

And It will be glad if you wake up in the morning that the price of bitcoin goes to the moon. It will be like your are in a deep sleep and dreaming <3 . That would be great to wake up and feel happy about it. But in reverse it is like a nightmare (but not really). We know bitcoin and the trust will never fade.

This is an interesting idea. However, there are some who consider the examination of Bitcoin prices each morning as their breakfast, indispensable. If not checked they will feel very upset. Having a friend of mine on vacation, he promised to quit his job for a few days to rest, but he kept checking Bitcoin prices every day as a hard habit to give up.
