for me it is better to buy before the ICO specially with the good ICO with good team and platform, after ICO you will earn more before the price drop after ICO.

İn bear trend, %95 of ICOs' prices fall down after this token release. But it is not certain this token's may not increasing anymore. I think, we should front to top ranked coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. If we pass to bull season, you should invest ICOs or altcoins most of your money.
It is interesting that people still do not learn his lesson, when the market is in the middle of a bull run then almost all icos begin to go up as soon as they hit the market so it is important to get in the ico, but when we are in the middle of a bear market almost all the coins are going to go down after the ico and many are never going to recover so the best thing that you can do is to invest in some of the best and most solid coins in the market.

Definitely a good time to buy ICO token especially if you may have bought such ICO before it got listed on exchange and now the value of your token have plummet!  You should buy to average down your purchase and even buy more!

In this market situation it is no hurry to invest into coins as their price is dropping significantly after they enter the exchanges. If the project is a potential one it could be very beneficial to buy tokens from our hunter colleagues who do not see the potential in it and dump them.

If the price of the token after the end of the ICO falls, it is the fault of the bear market, or the fact that the project is weak. Buying in order to recover lost money in a weak ICO in my opinion is a bad idea, buying during the bear market also. If we have already invested in a bad moment, or in a weak ICO, we should to accept  the loss and remember that lesson.

Some bounty hunters who are also investors take time to research into projects and come out with good projects with much capabilities of becoming successful. These type of Bounty hunters cease the opportunity to buy more of that coin at low prices below ICO prices after the ICO and listing on exchange. Most coins get started on the with lower than ICO prices.

yes  Grin Grin Grin now trend is this // after ico the price falling below ico rate //  investers say airdropers & bounty huntres dumped// bounty hunters say the day traders are dumped  ..// the best way bounty hunters pay out with btc or ethr the problem solved // but no team giving like this

It is customary that new coins listed on the stock exchange are immediately dumped, because most of the bounty hunters have waited a long time for the coins to be listed on the stock. Even investors' trust began to fade when the ICO continued to delay being registered on the stock exchange so that panic would be felt.

There were hardly any successful ICO's in 2018. Even the ICO's that were very hyped, such as Fantom, decreased in value immensely after the ICO. And still to this day. So yes, it's best to buy after ICO.

Yes that is why many of the ICO projects relatively failed due to the fact that many users now do not believe on ICO projects already. This because many had experienced that after investing in an ICO projects the market price for the tokens will drop many times. This is the reason why more and more investors tend to buy tokens after listings rather than buy during the ICO period.

you have to do your research about the company and what they have to offer. there is no right answer here as it all depends on the performance of the coin, granted that there are many pump and dump schemes which you will have to be aware of and can be hard to keep track but if you believe in the coin and its business model or know the creators personally or have inside information then investing shouldn't be that much of a mind boggle. ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH ABOUT ICO's AND ALTCOIN!!!

- Buying after ico will help us buy at a very cheap price because exactly as you say, most projects in the present time have lost a lot of value after ico, if we make good use of this opportunity, what we can get when the price is pumped back will be huge. However, I will not encourage people to make this decision and action because this seems to be a gamble, we have the opportunity to get a big profit but at the same time, we can still lose everything when the price never recovers, a shitcoin with almost zero value, it will not be a thing that we want to see

It's a common practice if a bounty hunter is well-versed in the project and believes in it, why not buy more at a cheap price.

ICO toekn prices jumping high after completion was happening in 2017 during  a strong bull market. In the 2018 bear market, most token prices were lower after the ICO. Market will need a strong bull trend to see big price jumps after ICOs.

of course it is more profitable when buying coins after ico is finished , because I noticed almost all of the ico when the first listing in the price market immediately dropped , right time to buy and hold until the roadmap runs

There are some people who have this strategy, especially now that we are in a bearish phase of the market.

After having identified a good project that has potential, they expect a price drop after the listing and then buy at lower prices than the ICO ones. It is a strategy that sometimes, especially in a bearish market, can give good profits when the market will start to be bullish again  Wink

The prices of the newly issued token goes down when they are initially listed in the exchanges because of profit- taking by the coinholders. It is better to find a new coin with big potential to go up in the future because even they dumped it, it will surely go up again. Compared to bull market, prices of the newly issued cryptocurrency or token during bear market will naturally drop because may investors want to take profits while it is possible. So buying a coin after an ICO is a good idea if you are looking for affordable prices.

I think buying after ICO is a wise choice,
And another option that might also reduce losses is that a few investors also decide to buy before the main ICO takes place where there are lots of bonuses or very cheap prices and far from standard price plans after being listed on the market.

Most coins get started on the with lower than ICO prices.

The key thing for me is whether or not the ICO hit hardcap. If it did, then there is more demand than there are coins available, which will push prices up. If it didn't, then there are more coins than buyers, which will push prices down.
Of course there are other factors at play such as the overall trend of the market, and how the primary trading pair (generally ETH) is moving in dollar terms... but there's the fundamental supply-and-demand question.

Generally, if we take into account the current state of the cryptocurrency market and how the company’s ico market acted in 2018, many investors preferred to buy coins on the market rather than on time token sale the ico company’s . The price was really much lower on the stock exchanges. I hope that the situation should change dramatically this year.

Of course, I fully agree with your opinion, but it seems to me that the real potential and development of the project will occur only when investors invest their funds in time for the company’s ico. For everyone today, the company’s ico fundraising is a real indicator of success.
