Is Block Chain going to be the next internet?

I do have to say when I see al the news I have the feeling big movements are around the corner but in my daily life I'm not experiencing it so far.

I think the snowball will appear very soon and could be very big.

After the hype of Bitcoin, it's only natural that hype will leave. The massive increase of the price of BTC only would have resulted in hype, which naturally would have faded.

However, while the price of Bitcoin has dropped since, I don't believe it will drop drastically further, as IMO the hype has created an industry of advancement within Blockchain technology (more companies/startups are being created to developer Bitcoin and technologies like it due to the initial hype)

the rise was not "all hype" it was real adoption and the increasing demand for the decentralized currency that led to the rise in first place and then obviously a rise means profit and profit means greedy people will also look towards bitcoin and the result of that is the hype and the bubble which will be over with a bubble burst and a price drop eventually and that is what we have now.
and that is why the price won't drop any further because of the real demand is still there and the speculative demand that came in because of the hype is now gone.
although in my opinion one of the biggest reasons for no further drop is the fact that bitcoin has dropped more than it should have and now it is underpriced and oversold...

I know it wasn't all hype, but I do believe that the price increase was largely created due to hype.
As I mentioned, I do believe adoption will carry bitcoin forward. Initial hype in technologies is always a thing, it's how the project sustains that interest which is most important.

I agree with your opinion, the majority of the BTC holder community originated from a hype, although now the hype is disappearing but I believe the increase in BTC prices is due to the existence of the hype that previously exploded in 2010

Yes. Its where its going, the web 3.0 as they say. There are blockchain companies building all these including the ones we have invested like the Storj that can be compared to the dropbox. Its coming of the new trend and sometimes we are already in it but we miss to recognize like the EOS and the Experty which some of use haven't heard it yet while the price are yet affordable for investors.

There have been a lot of articles regarding this subject on the Internet recently. What it means is that the connective technology that powers Blockchain can also power the Internet, ultimately. But there's another aspect to this thesis. The Internet revolutionized our lives like nothing else has ever done in the history of mankind. Blockchain, with it's decentralized nature and its egalitarian elements has the potential to be the next revolution in our lives. It is changing how we do business and manage money. Even though the Internet is only arriving in some parts of the world, the Blockchain technology is hot on its heels and ready to revolutionize lives and businesses. Yes, life will never be the same again. I still wish Blockchain could figure out a way to get back our stolen cryptocurrency and and unmask the hackers. Just saying.

Because the internet has a big data and smart space, while the blockchain is a small space that is mutually remembered and mutually confirmed. This method makes the internet in the future healthy because all nodes must be confirmed through the blockchain system. We can't compare blockchain with the internet, I know both are computer technologies but are two totally different things. Is just like asking, will HSBC become the next library or the next city?

In terms of popularity, blockchain can't be better than the internet, because you need internet to use blockchain, but you don't need blockchain to use the internet.

But in terms of new technology, maybe it could be, at the end blockchain and internet are two of the biggest inventions in computer science.

I have to agree. No matter how popular blockchain is getting these days, I do not think that it is enough to replace the internet someday. Blockchain has a long way to go and many business industries will benefit from it but in terms of common people using it the way we use internet nowadays, am not sure if it is ever possible.

Blockchain cannot be the next Internet from the way I see it because for one, it needs the internet to function. However, with development that could happen just like the case of mobile banking that could be done with USSD without the need for internet connection. If this can be done for blockchain then we are ready to see something greater than the internet as it would mean virtually everything that thrives in secrecy would come to an end and that is the beginning of good times.

Blockchain and the Internet, both have a similar model of technology i.e., peer to peer networking. This has enabled people to interact with each other and this has lead to the large adoption of the Internet.
Blockchain is new in the market enabling users to make peer to peer transactions. This will surely create a mass adoption according to me and many others but it will take a while until that happens.
People need to believe in the technology and use it properly in order to make the most profitable use of the blockchain technology. Blockchain does have the potential to become as huge as the Internet is.

I don't understand how did you compare each of them? Both are different things. Without the internet, I can't think of Blockchain. The internet is a much bigger concept and will remain the same when development occurs. So, there is no concept of the upper model of the internet, only those who exist in it can develop.

Definitely, blockchain right now is being run by the internet and I think, blockchain will not become the next internet because of its different function. Yes its increasing but I think its too early for this one, everyone must adopt blockchain technology first before we can see the chance for this ambition. A lot of good speculation on this technology, hold more coins that can be a good source of income in the future.

For me it is already okay. Why not use both for a better purpose. Besides, it is already happening. Internet as a means of knowledge while bitcoin inside the internet as means of payment to get deeper knowledge and other transactions using it.

Sorry to disappoint you, but whatever you said doesn't make sense at all. Internet is a way different thing than Blockchain, even Blockchain can't operate without internet. To go further the Blockchain is designed as a database to keep records as blocks.

Internet is way too broad than Blockchain, at least if you see it from today's perspective. There can be many things done on internet that can't be done on Blockchain, a simple example is this forum, its completely based on the concept of internet, and thus to visit and use this forum you don't need to be on Blockchain.

If your way of thinking was to compare Blockchain as an evolutionary invention as internet than you are absolutely right. Blockchain is as important for crypto users as internet for the world wide web users. All of the Transactions that take place, or all of the blocks made, are stored in Blockchain.

Blockchain is the huge database to keep everything safe, and the best thing about it is that, it is literally unchangeable. Whatever records are registered on it will remain the way as they were at the time of their entry.
