You better hold that ETH until 2020 because I am pretty sure that it will reach an all time high next year or by 2020. Ethereum 2.0 is near to come and it may hold a surprise that may pump its price so you better hold these 40 ethereum you had. Investment takes time to take a profit and a price correction is inevitable so what happened to ETH price is normal which also happened to other altcoins. Don't see ETH reaching $150 unless there's issues across the overall market, price has remained steady the last months and I expect that to continue until there's a change towards an upward trend. ETH is a strong buy right now IMO so I wouldn't be selling if I held any.

if you don't need this fund right away, wait a few more months. I'm sure this will rise again, I think it's only a matter of time. It depends on your ability, even if you serve it for at least 1 year or maybe even better
  if you have been here for more than 5 years, we are currently in capitulation, you should know this.

The subject title seems to misleading to your own problem, but anyway, $450 is still not that big if we do talk it on the last year price situation but today its a loss to sell it for $150 or less, you should hold it and don't start something that you might regret in the future. But if you do need that money then it's up to you to sell it or find another way for the money that you needed.

At this moment bearish market are not end, i suggest extend your patience wait for the price stablization or cryptocurrency markets. Selling today aren't advisable because a lot of loses you can got in your investment, but only you can decide what is the best for you.

I think you didn't make mistake because ETH is the most reliable coin after BTC and it is widely use for ICO project. I have a strong believe on ETH and i believe that it will reach again new value within 2019. So i suggest you that, if you don't need emergency money so please hold it untill on June, 2019.

As, you are talking about the ETH let you know that Ethereum has wide use for the token creators and the blockchain is in heavy demand. Due to the current market new which is unfavourable of the crypto so keep quite and invest more if you want. Even, in $200 price ETH is not so costly.

You only lose if you sell and I strongly believe that ethereum is going to recover in future.  We are too early in predicting continuously going down and not recover.  Ethereum was once selling above $1450 and if you buy at $450 is not a mistake or bad investments decision. You just need to keep holding in other to be able to sell above your purchase price.
There is no way you can accurately predicting ethereum or bitcoin price and the market move in your favor but it will always move in your favor if you can be patience and having a long term view in mind.
