I agree that 2017 year end is the best time for crypto interms of price and especialy earning through trading and participating bounties. In year 2018, I think is not the best time for crypto because until now its november almost end of 2018 but the market in always in deep, all ico is not successful mostly. So many token dump and other stock with no exchanges due to crisis of crypto market. Hoping it recover by 2019.

But in 2018 also too many people lost their money. So what we learnt from there. We shouldnt be too greedy. We need to always take our profits during bulls and we need to be ready in bear market.
