This year I invest in ICOs significantly less than last year as many of them struggling and not as profitable as they used to be. I diversify my investments and invest only in projects I am confident. If I feel they will take me down I use exit strategy even if I lose some portion of the investment.

Investing in ICO this days can be very risky,so we have to be very careful when investing. There is no specific amount to invest in ICO.Make sure you invest in a project you are so sure about.Do not be greedy with your investment.

I think it really depends on amount of capital you have. I personally don't invest more than 10% of my capital allocated to crypto in an ICO. In this way I can make better diversification between different ICO (after an accurate selection to try to prevent scams and poor projects)

0 ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I invest work on the project. The investment is called time. More I can not yet offer ICO. Of course, even with such investments, they do not always pay off.

I dont think anyone out there will tell exactly how much you should risk with ICO. My advice for you is take risk according to your nature to risk. Even if you do all the due diligence and confirm that the ICO is genuine then all of a sudden the Project owner run away with all the money like (Extoke)project or maybe the crew start to fight among themselves like ( Envion) project. Then you will still lose your money. So pls my advice is to only invest what you can afford to loss.

Firstly, I won't invest more than I am willing to loose. After doing my personal research on the project and I feel it is promising, I can invest about 3ETH. However if after analysis, I don't see the project deem fit of investment, I pull back right away.

So many threads with the same question... Much easier just to buy bitcoin and stay safe. Ico is like casinos now, or even lottery in some ways.

I would say - around 1-2% of my portfolio. ICO is a very risky type of investment nowadays. Crypto is risky and ICO - ultra risky. So, you should diversify your investments not to lose everything after several ICO scams. You will find that they are not rare this year if you check the statistics.

It really depend on the financial capability of a person. He can invest more if he got more also. Personally, during this bearish time i am only investing in a project which i like to invest is 1 ETH the most depending on the situation. If the project gets more hype in the future i will put more money on it but not to the extend that i will pour all i had in it.

Honesty, i do not have experience invested in a new ICO since i was started participanting in bounty campaign. This is because i didn't receive huge amount of token to be my capital in investing ICO but however i wanted to experience once this campaign that i have working will paid soon.

Participating in new ICOs is always exciting to me. Many opportunities but also many risks in this investment channel. To ensure capital adequacy, despite the risks, it did not affect me much, I just spent 15% capital for new ICO investment.

All depend how much money you have and how much loss you can handle it, but my advice only put 10-20% your money in one ICO, if you invest nowday You must careful and see the team and also read the whitepaper, don’t invest based what people said, make your own research.

I believe that we need to checks first the market update. And I think it is better to hold our ethereum or maybe bitcoin than investing it on ico because it's value is now really small and we can only buy a few amount of token or coin.

The most common practices that if you have doubt in a certain investment is just to invest only what you can afford to lose so that in case when the ICO goes wrong like a scam or a failure project then everything is fine then. If i'm very certain that its a good project then i invest the minimum order quantity but i will have the bonus token anyway.

there is no standard for keeping investment in ico's. it depends on the funds you have , if you have very strong belief in the project and you have done all research than you can invest . i always plan to invest small amount in different projects.
