I have moved both newpacs to the new sipolar usb hub

purchased from ebay link.

I have set them to  250 freq and I am pointing at bravo mining

my opinions

these are nice sticks so nice I grabbed a third one and it is on its way
I will set it to the sipolar hub.

the power brick  gives 12 volts at 10 amps.

so 12 x 10 = 120 watts  convert to 5volts since ports are 5 volts

90percent to 95 percent  so   120 x .9 = 108 watts   x .8 for safety  = 86.4 watts  round down to 80 /10 =

8 watts for 10 ports in theory

so here is sidehack's chart

@100MHz was 2.65W, with AsicBoost measured 2.35W.      (default)
@200MHz was 4.66W, with AsicBoost measured 4.20W.      (fan cooled)
@400MHz was 9.63W, with AsicBoost measured 8.38W.      (out of support zone)
@600MHz was 13.62W, with AsicBoost measured 12.45W.  (damage if fan gets tired zone)

looks like 300mhz could work with all 10 ports and good fans

So my third newpac arrived today.  I set it to freq 250 and I now have

3 newpacs set to freq 250
1 twopac  set to freq 250

the sipolar hub is working fine so far and I am pulling 41 watts.  hash rate is about 190gh  considering one of the stick is a 2pac and not a compac

I think 4 newpacs would do about 210-220 at 41 watts

since a lot of watts are lost at the brick maybe 80-90% efficient and the 12volt to 5volt in the hub maybe 90%.

I estimate power at the port at 8-8.5 watts per stick

while power at the hub is 10.3 watts a stick  I will need to grab more newpacs to test the hubs limits  but 4 sticks at freq 250 seem good.

Even without AB enabled, unless the core voltage is jacked up a ways or cooling is terrible, you should see more like 6W at the port. I would guess the brick and hub regulators are worse than you're estimating. With good cooling but no AB, 8.5W at the port should get you upwards of 350MHz.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

I got meters will do more checking once thanksgiving is over.

bricks suck  so 80% on a brick would not surprise me

I suspect the 2Pac is also bringing up the average quite a bit.

Good call. That stick's probably around 10W by itself.

I will pull the 2 pac

and kwatt meter dropped from 40.8 to 24.7  so a newpac pulls 8.2 watts at the wall

and the old tired 2pac test model with a silver untreated heat sink was doing about 16 watts at freq 250

so new pacs look better now about 175-180gh and only 24-25 watts
