Bitcoin is a virtual currency not based on anything, I think the price is going to shift back and forth. So in short, bitcoin's price will go to the moon when it becomes more popular. Today it is an opportunity for investors to buy more Bitcoin.

Indeed this is an opportunity to have some btc at this time of that price are very low. Though the situation is not good for all of users so I am still positive that market condition will soon be progressive. So I am still hopeful on btc despite this current status in the market.

Not all tokens looses their price with BTC. Very often you can see that there are coins which, despite the fall of bitcoin, are growing. They called as "mirror coins".

As i know bitcoin has drop so much because someone sells bitcoin in amount over $19,5m and this caused this drop. I think bitcoin will recover, just have some patience and we should see a good grow if not this year, in Q1 2019. Bitcoin still on the lower price but I see that bitcoin was giving a good movement in every hour and now, the price is trying to increase back. But unfortunately, we don't know if the price will rise higher or stable in the less than $6k. So the latest price has it at that bottom level with a good rise occurring.    Traders will play these levels and sell to take profits at each one depending on how they judge the strength of the move.

There is nothing to worry as this will be a temporary falling and we just need to keep faith with bitcoin.  Remember that there are many people that want to see the end of this market but it has been going strong and powerful and we can really see from the historical data how bitcoin has been recovering.

When Bitconnect and USI-Tech exit-scammed everyone in January 2018 BTC dumped and has continued to dump.

Nobody has faith in BTC anymore. There are millions of victims that will never ever buy BTC again. The two scams gave BTC a chance in 2017 but killed BTC off in 2018. It has no chance of making a comeback.

Ethereum ico scam projects had far more to do with the pump and resulting dump than those 2 shitcoins you mentioned.

Agree. i was often buying 0.01 btc every day these days and when i saw 4800 $ i decided to splash on a 0.05 btc purchase. it 's true it may go down more but i'm watching the whole thing in a very detached way

of course this was very disturbing to me, this decline made me even more angry, but there was nothing I could do especially this panic. can only wait for the market to grow again even though we know very well, it will take a very long time. and there may be many other fuds that reduce the price of bitcoin next month.

Yes, in general I agree with you about this (maybe this is a way to scare new investors). But how to respond or give an answer in our minds when the price of bitcoin continues to decline until now? Even touching the price of $ 4600, I don't think this situation should have happened.

Inflation can come from many sources, its not just this one element.  Besides the base utility to value transferable over crypto there is a few different causes of inflation.   I believe one of them is monetary velocity which would roughly relate to the size of the population of users and also how often they exchange value between themselves, that can help to raise the value of the currency used in those transactions

I do agree there is inflation from leverage, its not natural to crypto because this is not operated on that fractional reserve base but it can come from outside the blockchain quite easily.    At some point we will have lost those leveraged participants who were mostly speculators, its reasonable to continue on a more stable but slower path then I think
