Fire in the market: Bitcoin is below $4000

The market starts scaring the shit out of me. What the hell is wrong with the cryptocurrency market? What on earth is going on in the cryptocurrency market? I used to justify the recent market crash as a 'fake dump' but now it starts freaking me out! So, where do you guys think is the next bus stop for bitcoin? I'm thinking isn't this beyond 'hash wars' or Bakkt launch fake dump by the whales?

I believe bitcoins has bottomed out and it won't be crossing the resistance level of 3k, also the effect of Bcash war and Bakkt not launching now seem to fade away. This is a typical bear market phase which has paralysed bitcoins, and instead of moaning start acting and accumulate it. I believe it's only matter of days before a rally comes to bitcoins, as it always has happened after bottoming out.

In my opinion. This storm will continue until early 2019. We can predict the condition of crypto will be able to recover or not around January 2019. When in January the market conditions did not improve, the storm will continue. many experts say that this condition occurs because it is approaching Christmas and the turn of the year. so this condition has occurred in the previous year and crypto can rise after the turn of the year each year.

I do not understand what the experts are analyzing. At the moment we are in such a position that the price cannot be analyzed. It could have been possible to find a way out on Forex but the crypto is a lot different. The price is very active and the sector is new, so every situation we encountered probably did not happen in the past.

For holders out there, looks like you going to hold further more. For others, time to buy or wait a little more there might be another lowest price this year. It seems the bottom hasn't reach yet. I think bigtime investors are continually increasing their coins by buying at a discount.

I wonder why all the world community is excited about the decline in Bitcoin Prices, even though if we look at the end of 2016, the price of Bitcoin is not more than $ 900, and starts
and the end of 2017 is the golden age of Bitcoin and other crypto, even though the price keeps falling into the end of 2018
any fluctuating price can occur that makes us pound awaiting bitcoin and cryptocurrency surprises.

What is there not to be excited about actually? I know it may not be totally relative to cryptocurrency, but if someone decides to give you something for a lot cheaper price and something you know has a real value both in the short term and in the long run based on its characteristics, potential for growth and usage, won't you take it as an opportunity and simply even want to ask for more?

Those who are aware based on understanding of the potential of this market, will obviously know they have nothing to worry about. This is an opportunity and if anyone is smart, they will surely be taking it for their long term advantage.

The problem is that that everyone was here during the 2013 crash. No one has expected that the price will go down like 70% or more specially the fall in the last couple of days. A lot of investors got scared, but you need to understand where they're coming far.

Of course if your looking at a long term goal, its a good entry point. But then again, I'd say majority of speculators are looking at short term price that's why there's no one buying and the selling pressure is still very high. But there will be a point wherein the bears will be exhausted and we might see the tail end of this long bear cycle.

I agree. Looking at the current downtrend, there is no sign of a reversal trend, so the possibility is still heading towards the deepest valley and going up gradually later, but my hope is not for a long time

It seems like bitcoin will come to an end. This because market is constantly dipping and I do not like to see if an investors will going to invest for now because of the current situation where many will be thinking if bitcoin will going to end. As we all know that fiat currency is still the best currency compared to cyrptocurrency so in my case I rather not invest now for there could be a good reason that the equivalency of my fiat currency will go down for more or even lost all of it.

investors who really have a good glimpse from what can possibly happen after this massive downfall are  really accumulating a lots, as they can continue monitoring and analyzing the market behaviors, we know that big players have a much wider point of views regarding to this investment currency, while
they are accumulating it's also good for small players to do the same, buy and wait as momentum will change pace after some time.

Why it is that people don't see this as a fire-sale opportunity to buy bitcoin is beyond me.  All I hear is bitching, wailing, and gnashing of teeth over the recent drop.  Yes, it's a severe one, but it's not the end of the world.

Well said! This current drop can scare off some weak hands, but people who know how to make money will definitely take advantage of this situation. For a long time they have been dreaming about the price going under $5k regretting that they didn't buy in October 2017, and now they've got more than they could have dream of.

No one can say where is the bottom and for how long Bitcoin will stay there, so one should not invest their money in BTC if they need the money for living expenses. But if you have spare money intended for investing and you are not investing in Bitcoin these days, don't curse the fates later, because you were given an opportunity.

Personally I believe that Bitcoin can't drop below the $3,000 per coin mark. If it does, then it makes no sense to mine the coins. Hopefully the prices will recover before the end of this year.

Yes, it is scary and its normal to feel like that because all the major supports of 5500$ 5000$ 4400$ were broken just like that as if no one is interested in bitcoin anymore and that is what makes me wonder what on earth happened all of a sudden. I truly believe that this is being done by big players to get their position before a run up as many missed the 2017 train.

Institutional investors were participating even in 2017. IMO, what changed the atmosphere was the failure of the ICOs. A lot many of them failed and this soured the mood in general.
