Yeah such a shame this is a thing. What other problems do you think is tied to this issue?

In addition, product, brand or seller reputation is not portable across marketplaces, limiting a seller’s ability to scale
efficiently. According to eRater, 90% of sellers are active on more than one marketplace, but unable to port existing
reputation to another platform. A buyer’s reputation is similarly not transportable across marketplaces, limiting
sellers’ confidence in prospective new buyers.
