Well firstly you must know that even with an escrow your safety is not 100percent assured. But you would be more of on the safe side to contact an escrow agent with high positive trust. Well here you find the compilation of some trusted member you can get there name and reach out to them if the are interested to act as one https://bpip.org

First thing that you need to know - there are no official escrow on Bitcointalk. Usually escrow services are provided by trusted users who have solid trading history here. There are few threads where escrow agents are listed, you can check it here:

Before dealing with escrow check his trust ratings. And before sending money to escrow, always ask for signed message from escrow address.

Use only those that are in the list above, if someone else is offering you an escrow service, better to stay away. Seen accounts with green trust for sale, keep this in mind. Always request a signature from a staked address to be on the save side even for those in the list, this is what I would do if I were on your place. It's always good to have extra precautions.
Good luck.

This is barely true. There really are a set of members here that operate as official escrow agents for this forum. They all have reputable histories of transactions. There's maybe 3-5 people. That said, one can choose anyone they want for escrow...you are not required to use anyone person for a transaction originated from this forum.

That list hasn't been edited since 2016... And it would seem a large number of those listed are either inactive or no longer provide Escrow services... the 2 threads provided by LTC_btc are somewhat more recent.... last edited 31st July and "Today", respectively.

That's right yeah, it's kind of a dead thread now. It had good reviews way.
I would trust what's more recent though aka - "Edited Today".
Thanks for pointing it out. 👌

Maybe you can also have a look here, a very detailed list, last updated 30st September and OP promised in the last comments to update some details soon:
LIST BitcoinTalk's Escrow Providers: Ranking & Blacklist Avoid Scammers

And also a good overview if there are some ongoing scam accusations:
