It was rather stupid move to mortgage your house even for bitcoins. If you are brave enough to accept you are  loser then go and tell your wife til the situation gets worse

I mortgaged my house to buy $300,000 of ETH at 800.   I dod not tell her.   This house was paid off in full.  Now I cant make the mortgage payments with my job.  I cant even sell the ETH easily because I live in NH.   Should i keep holding?   Tired of making excuses about wherr all the money is going.   I guess I'm what you call a loser.   Thanks everyone.

It all depends on whether you are able to survive longer without selling ETH. The price will start to grow sooner or later and will certainly recuperate those losses.
Maybe just sell only small amounts for the most necessary things, until the prices start to grow.

No, you don''t do that! Never mortgage your house over any money, there is almost the trap that you will not succeed and be left with nothing. I'd suggest to tell your wife the truth and try to figure it out together. HODL may not be the best option  now that market keeps crushing.

As a woman and wife, I wouldn't want my husband to hide such an act from me. If we took a mortgage together, it means that we must solve this problem together too. I'm aware of all the affairs of my husband, since we are together here in crypto. In the family, everything must be built on trust. It is a pity that you didn't tell her before. Now she may not forgive you.

Go to your wife, and tell her honestly, what you did. And there is no fault yours. The condition is not your site. If you wait some days your good day will come again. I think your wife first will be getting angry and then after a time she will be cool. She can understand you. And I think you should keep holding your ETH coin.

This should be a wake up call to all of you wannabe investors. There are 2 rules that you always follow and that every professional investor and trader will tell you to follow.
The first one is, you invest only what you can afford to lose, which is only spare cash lying around that you're holding as your emergency money.
The second one is, you always exit when the price goes lower. If you buy at 5000 and the trend reverses into 4900, you sell. You only hold when you have a safety margin, like for instance you bought at 5000, the price went to 700, and is now falling towards 6500, you don't have to worry until it hits 5100 or lower.

I think you better telling her the truth about the condition. Explain her about cryptocurrency and about market movement and your portfolio. I am believe she will understand if you are honest with her. Maybe you can hold your coin but i am believe you can not predict where market move.

Even though you are loser or winner, you should tell your wife about it. If you wife is your real partner, only then she will always be with you and help you in every situation. On the other hand, if she is not willing to stand with you in dark times, she should be deserve to be your wife.

Bro if you dont need the money, hold it. Wait to the boom, and then sell. You have to keep calm and have patience, i know is difficult with all in red. Personally i would hold, i cant sell easy. You have to make PROFIT. I hope you have luck.

I will advice to hold the ETH and find a way out to settle the mortgage till we see next bull as selling it now will be a total loss and a big loser indeed , so pls just consider it lost and find another mix to settle the bill and wait for when it will pay back in bull am sure by then you will forget the stress you are in now.

Sorry about this. You shouldn't have put as much as you did, because of the condition of the market. I too I bought an altcoins, am now in deep shit because it dumped beyond redemption, can't even pay my house rent-age in full, my wife keeps looking at me like what did I do? I think you may have to sell some holding when the market move some bit up, selling will be very bloody, because of heavy losses.

It's hard to say this, you don't think long before investing...
Your biggest mistake is investing in lust and not thinking, especially until you pawn your house.. it's very wrong
and you'd better be honest with your wife because sooner or later she will know too...

No matter what happen truth will reveal otherwise your conscience will always bother you. Your wife is your partner in life and you should have an open communication no matter how hard or easy the situation seems to be. It's not going to be easy, let her understand the real deal, if she truly loves you then she would understand and should be there to support for each other. On the other hand, you should also be strong, stay hopeful, be strategic and be patient. Don't tell yourself a loser, strive harder, evaluate yourself where you fail or what needs to improve, don't give up, change the plans but not the goals.

OK.. You need to stand up and face the challenges courageously. Let bygones be bygones. You can't reverse what you have done. And there is no point in running away. Just be a man and tell everything to your wife.

I recall this "bitcoin family" in Europe. They're all in but the guy had obviously made his riches elsewhere and then put a substantial amount in an earlier Bitcoin bull cycle (and cashed out). So I guess the best thing now is be honest with your wife. Always remember to purchase with what you can afford to lose only otherwise it becomes an addiction like going back to casino.
