Hi, i am wondering if i should buy a little bit of top 20 coins at current prices, 8th dec 2018, or wait until the market gets lower. What do you guys do?

What have you done from 2018? did you Invest in top 20 coins and keep them holding until 2020? if does then you are a total winner lol.

But if this remains as question and you never act to favor your plans then this is useless.

I have bought the current dip, or at least... when market cap was still around 120 billion usd. Following my policy to buy after huge drops only, i planned to buy the next dip if market cap is around 60 billion usd. But should i not buy the current dip twice? Because what if the bakkt launching next month is succesful? What if it gets followed up by the ETF getting approval in the february sec-decision? What if it all comes paired with new developments that occur? Is this a realistic scenario for short-term?

What would you do, if you were following my plan/policy? I don't buy with large amounts so i can take some losses, what do you think is best?

Well, I hope you bought inested a lot during that time cause if you did, you're probably sitting on a lot of money right now if you were able to hold it. Surely, the risk and the fear upon investing during that time is insanely high yet the price would pay off if you were able to surpass it up until the time last year where there are a lot of new all time highs that went over the expectation of many. I'm not preferring only with bitcoin but also other altcoins too since they were influenced or affected with the massive increase of bitcoin's price that no one ever expected. I hope you did the right choice and were able to hold it for at least two years.

But, if you want to listen my advice you should buy right now and don't need to wait any longer because Q3 is almost end and when we entering Q4 we can't see any cheapest price like this on the market. I like your strategy it's quite effective even in the year 2021, buy low sell high, almost everyone knows it but I highly doubt it if we put it into practice. But buying the dip more than twice should all depend on whether you have the money and time to spare.

In my own opinion about the title, I think after learning how to research about a coin, the next thing to learn is how to know the entry point and exit point, this is very important in order to avoid buying the top, although no one can know it all actually. Before buying a coin you need to decide your holding pattern, if you will go for long term or short term, this will further Influence the type of coin you would want to buy. Normally, top 20 on coinmarketcap are good for long term because the products and services are already developed, nevertheless wait for price correction before buying mostly when you are going for long term.
On the other hand, for short term holding, most new coins can be good targets, since you will buy, sell and maybe buy lower again if you believe in the project. And lastly, it is always good to wait when a coin is already pumping, there will always be correction, if you think you can't wait it out, then focus on other coins. why not BNB instead of DOT? though i can see some good news and update to this one yet i believe that binance is more functional ng Polkadot.

I think it's still in the bearish range, still waiting for the confirmation candle, my buying area is at 46k, if the price can exceed 46k I think the bullish trend is confirmed until the end of 2021. but if you are an investor and a strong holder, you can buy at any time, and sell with a high target as you wish.
