In my opinion, you should observe the market condition before purchasing any coins.
See if there is any chance for the coins to increase fast or slow, that way you could decide if the coins able to be used as short or long term investment.
Yes, this is indeed important to do what we are doing now in the future we ourselves will enjoy the results, so analyzing a coin is important to do to find out whether the coin has good potential for investment or not |

Why just a bit from the top 20 coins?
Remember not every coin on the top 20 are worth it to take. Few of them aren't but if that's your strategy then go for it.

Now is a good opportunity to buy coins for long-term, but I'll wait another month, maybe the price will become even more attractive.
Another month could be January 2019. And if the market is still the same down trend, I think, the market condition would be super dump to the lowest level price. Panic will increase on that month thinking that the market is turning into hopeless. |

Low prices like this can indeed be an opportunity for us to use them, we can buy them and sell when prices increase even a little but we can still take advantage of that, but it's true as you say that we don't need to buy large amounts of coins , the fear will be even worse when the market situation and not the benefits obtained but instead the big losses obtained.

It will not be a bad idea to buy now that the market is so dip knowing that we may have bull run anytime soon,but we need to be careful of the type of coin we choose to buy,there are some coin that will surely go with bear market because they are not good enough.there are some coin that have got prospect.We need to do alot of research to invest right.

I wouldn't count on the short term. She won't. It is best to buy cryptocurrency and altcoins now. But don't spend all your savings on it. Over time, slightly adjust your cryptocurrency portfolio and complement the position.

I recently opened a discussion on the graphic background of bitcoin. Graphically btc has already opened purchase for trend reversal. But as I've learned, the market does not resemble the traditional stock market. There are whales and manipulations that make this unregulated market something different. I bet on more downturns until there is good and shocking news to reverse this bear market.

The dip we have present seems to be good for whoever wants to invest, expect you are sure there will be more significant dip, which i do not think will happen. Even if the market cap you go down, it might not be much. Just make your own decision by yourself, instead of taking an advise that will not help.

Hi, i am wondering if i should buy a little bit of top 20 coins at current prices, 8th dec 2018, or wait until the market gets lower. What do you guys do?
I have bought the current dip, or at least... when market cap was still around 120 billion usd. Following my policy to buy after huge drops only, i planned to buy the next dip if market cap is around 60 billion usd. But should i not buy the current dip twice? Because what if the bakkt launching next month is succesful? What if it gets followed up by the ETF getting approval in the february sec-decision? What if it all comes paired with new developments that occur? Is this a realistic scenario for short-term?
What would you do, if you were following my plan/policy? I don't buy with large amounts so i can take some losses, what do you think is best?
Maybe you can wait and not buy any coin in the market for now, because the price of the crypto still have no sign to recover. It will be different if you know some coins that have a potential project. You can buy them now when the price still on the bottom. I think you cannot depend on Sec decision regarding the bitcoin ETF, seems like they will pending it again. |

We might think into buying if we feel not be compromised in the end or blame others because you are losing. Only invest when you surely believe in crypto and just because the says of the people around you, the willingness is very important and its dedication. |

I need a little touch of other coins that I think will improve in the future. Buy a few coins and still be controlled to reduce the effects of losses. At the moment I am trying to buy BTC, XRP and ETH to hold until the price starts to rise and I hope I can benefit from the coins that I have bought. |

If i can suggest you, it is the right time to watch only and waiting, we are still in the bear market.
You can buying starting from the early of 2019, because i believe crypto market will starting recovering from early of the year.

Waiting would be more advisable. There is a huge risk if people will be investing at this moment because not all crypto will be able to withstand the market downtrend and choosing the wrong crypto will further yield to regrets and disappointment especially huge profit loss. So in order to be safe waiting would be the best option. |

There's no real reason to rush but if you've been waiting patiently then buying around the current price range is a good opportunity and keep some capital aside in case it gets cheaper of course but from a longer term perspective you can't really go wrong just don't invest in more speculative assets for now until the market matures further
