the lesson that I took was not to be too greedy, and also the market situation couldn't be stable, sometimes it would go up / down, just how you took the opportunity at that time.Don't go with the flow, sometimes it's better to stop, and wait for the next opportunity.

Greed and fear are always accompanied, I have been worried many times about whether to invest in a certain altcoin in 2017. I hesitate and finally decide not to invest, then it increases sharply again. I joined and joined fomo

Now many are afraid of the repetition of 2018 so the market has grown quite cautiously..this is primarily true of altcoins. No one wants to lose much again.

I agree, now many people want fast growth, but they are afraid to buy a lot and at once, so as not to wait for years of market growth again

What valuable lesson(s) have you learnt from the crypto space in 2018 and how is it going to shape your involvement in the space going forward? Looking forward to your responses, hoping one or two persons learn a thing or two from them.

I think the most important lesson is always look at the longer-term picture, and don't panic. Prices have recovered substantiually since the 2018 bear market, and sentiment seems a lot less negative now. Crypto has huge potential, it is important not to give up when the price falls for a long time.

Lessons I learnt in 2018:

1. Be patient.
2. Admit your mistakes and learn from them.
3. Don't forget about stop loss!
4. Don't be afraid to lose money, it's an experience.
5. Due diligence is extremely important.

One more from my side: many people came to this market as newbies in investment and money management. Some times I see peoples messages in the chat - I am new, please help. And the scammers are not sleeping as well. So, the conclusion is - do not trust your funds to anyone.

Do not be too much greedy in the crypto space is what I have learnt in 2018. Generally traders fail to reap benefits from trading of coins due to their greediness to want more. Another lesson is that do not panic-sell off your coins when the market starts going down. The market goes up the same level when it goes down.

2018 error is actually not from bounty hunter participation but from the project itself because starting from the ICO scammer happens in every project and destroys investor confidence until the end of 2018 all the new scammer effects feel that the new project is empty of investors, bounty hunters are looking for other jobs

And with that thought of them. It will make the market impossible to increase, because no one dares to buy and hold. They will sell all when prices rise by 10-20%, it is difficult for us to see altcoin growing like 2017.

It must be very difficult to look into the past that is very different from the current Crypto situation, there must be many lessons that we can get to get better. At the beginning of 2018 the Crypto market was classified as stable but on the contrary at the end of 2018 the market experienced a severe decline (Bearish) until now it has not fully recovered. It might be better to look ahead and rearrange well what we have to do in the face of any situation.
If we look back the year of 2018, crypto market was terrible for the whole year long. I agreed that early months (the first two quarters) of 2018 were not too bad period, but when bitcoin lost its supports around $6,000, whole things in crypto turn into worse situation, that we all did not expect at the start of 2018. Fortunately, it all went away, and we all survived well by now with some lessons learned. One of them: never expect too much, and never solely think about positive scenario.

One of the things I have learnt is never to be too emotional about any coin or be too expectant, no matter how seemingly good a market situation is, one should not stay in it for too long, always have an entry and exit plan at any point in time. Holding altcoins can be disastrous in bear season, fiat is the best once the bear is identified.

Very few people still keep Bitcoin, which was bought at 19k$, but still it is a lesson for many people that you do not need to buy coins at high prices

How can you know? the number of people does not always mean the size of bitcoin they are holding, and we know it's the volume of our holding that matters, so 10 person can hold 50% of the total supply, and that is good for crypto, it won't dump.

Main lesson I learned is to never trust people stating they can predict the price in crypto.

I would say it would be really hard to base crypto projections by technical analysis and price movement data alone, but adding sentiment and news can probably help a lot.

A very important lesson for me in 2018 is experience in trade and also investment. I made that experience better the next day.

from 2018, I learned that when there is an opportunity in front of your eyes, then take it, because there is a high chance that it will not happen again, and be grateful for what you get. besides, I also learned how to research a project, so that I could avoid scams. it's a great year.
yes it's a very valuable lesson, if we see an opportunity, of course we immediately take it, do not delay too long because the opportunity does not come twice. but it's true that in 2018 there were many valuable lessons we could take such as exploiting the market situation by buying coins at low prices, then many ico project cases ended in fraud and now we can avoid that by switching to the IEO project.

I think that thing will not stable in Crypto field that's why there's is not decide the values we need to understand the current situation and made the decision based on your own opinion that will helpful for you to stay here at least some more time.

Yes, we should always learn from our previous mistakes, during the last bull run many people made a lot of mistakes and the same thing happened in the year 2018. Now the market situation seems to be bullish so we shouldn't repeat the same the mistakes in this year.

This is the most we learned from crypto that we cannot predict price. The project we thought can survive in the market somehow did not sustain it’s price and become worthless. We have to understand that prices are unpredictable and we should learn from our past failure.
