Laimis: @Alex [new.capital] has there been any news regarding the increased resource usage after the last fork and multi-tier tier upgrade.? The increase is very apparent for those of us using 5 and 20 tier MNs. The resource usage on VPS is very close to the one we had previosly with the same amount of tier1 MNs. If this is how it was planned - fine, we can deal with this, but the community needs to know it. Those of us running our own vpses were under the impression that this will be a huge resource saver. Edwin mentioned briefly about a bug in the system but it was not addressed or explained well. So on behalf of many members of our community I would be grateful for an official response about this. We need to be very well aware and plan our resources ahead especially when running multiple Tier20 and Tier5 MNs. Thank you kemiCeгoдня, в 21:14 @Laimis , talking about physical resources, such as RAM, CPU usage, etc. it is important to understand that all masternodes run the same software. This means that all, tier-1, tier-5, tier-20 and tier-100 consume approximately the same amount of resources. The reason why it was/ is called a resource saver is that for people who have 5 or more masternodes running, this update allows to host tiered masternodes, i.e. instead of hosting 5 tier-1 masternodes, they can host 1 tier-5 masternode, which consumes the same amount of resources as 1 tier-1 masternode So the main point is that the software run on VPS is still practically the same, but it allows to reduce the amount of togal VPS's needed by locking 1m, 5m, 20m or 100m of coins So if someone has 20m of coins, they will no longer need to host 20 separate VPS's, only 1 @Laimis is that what you wanted to know? Another thing worth mentioning is that the resource usage also increases due to more and more masternodes being active, as well as the block chain becoming longer, so the more there are masternodes or blocks, the more memory and CPU power VPS's will need Laimis: @kemi Thanks. So according to what you are saying if my vps is capable of hosting 20 tier1 masternodes, I should be able to host 20 tier20 masternodes on the same vps. Is that correct? kemi: Yes It should be so https://discordapp.com/invite/yEgCjDy

Take a look at the SYMBOL explorer - you can use it for peer discovery, identifying receipts, and much more: http://explorer.nemtech.network/nodes

Edwin [new.capital]: Urgent announcement! Yesterday night, it was detected that both the TWINS and FIX networks are being exploited, with the attacker being able to receive masternode rewards on addresses that do not have associated masternode collateral. With further investigation, we now suspect that these rewards were being sold on the Community Exchange ever since September 2019. We have disabled all automatic withdrawals on the exchange, and will manually verify each and every withdrawal attempt until this issue has been resolved. Please contact @Alex [new.capital] directly if your withdrawal has been pending for longer than one hour. It is our highest priority to establish the details of this vulnerability, and to immediately apply a solution to prevent any further abuse of the networks. We suspect that this serious problem is due to a vulnerability inherited in the PIVX code, and is not related to the multi-tier logic that was recently introduced into the TWINS and FIX networks. However, this type of attack can potentially negatively influence the overall masternode reward ratio and the performance statistics of the network, thereby affecting all of the participants in these projects. Our team is working full-time to solve this issue, but we urgently appeal to you for any assistance that you are able to offer. We have allocated a significant bounty as a reward for your contributions in correcting this vulnerability. All of the maliciously gained rewards that are generated following the detection of this attack will be locked by the network, and will be rendered unusable in the release of the next wallet code versions. We will keep you up to date with any progress regarding this critical issue. https://discord.gg/yEgCjDy

Edwin [new.capital]: We plan to release an updated TWINS wallet for TESTNET tomorrow afternoon. The version will include bug fix related to the multi-tier reward ratio, and also will include a patch that attempts to address the vulnerability. We will need your help to setup as much as possible nodes to test the version properly. Be ready! https://discord.gg/yEgCjDy

When is the masternode situation (rewards performing really bad) finally resolved?
I am basically losing money here...

The latest news I heard from the team is, they have fixed the problem but it still on the testnet and they want to make a few improvements before releasing the update for both TWINS and FIX. The improvement will include for both staking parameters, CPU consumption and few more UI improvements. We should expect a new update soon, Another thing is the attacker does not exploit the reward that much compared to before.

Still concering that something that important takes so long.
I hope they really push future critical updates a bit faster than this.

They are, it is just they can not keep making an update. People will feel dissatisfied with a constant update from the team. Considering the fact the reward that we will miss when we are restarting the masternode and what is more important is the attacker does not exploit the reward that severely after the team announced it. I believe the team will fix this issue no later than this month.
