The problem in the first place is "profit". You don't care about crypto itself. You just want more USD.

A lot of people are banking on the SEC's decision on the ETF's in February 2019 to be the make or break for Bitcoin in 2019. I think people should just forget about the SEC and just concentrate on natural adoption and working on that next killer APP for Bitcoin.

We should never place our destiny in the hands of a single government regulator or any other government regulator for that matter. Satoshi did not create this technology for them, he created this for everyone of us, so let's take our destiny in our hands.

I think the first quarter of year 2019 would be crucial for cryptocurrency. There would be events that might trigger the bull run next year such as upgrades and updates. There is nothing that can stop these cryptocurrencies to be used wordlwide, even the one-year bearish market can't stop these rising of the top digital coins.

Bull market will come, this is what I think: there are so many ICO last year so bitcoin move from it's holders to the developers then the developers sell their bitcoin into fiat in order to make sure that the funds value is not decrease to fast. This makes bitcoin price fall, and actually this is a good chance for other people to buy bitcoin because those developers will make better environment and infrastructures for cryptocurrency users which means the developer will make more people to use cryptocurrency so the demand will be increase then bitcoin price will rise.

bull market has not happened yet, prices still cannot make a price increase, so you should not be affected by this not too much price increase because this could only be a trap.

Hey that was a wise move holding of your coins, many people preferred to sell it for losses so it's good to see you believed in the power of holding. I believe the year 2019 shall be a very rewarding year for all the holders, and we shall see bull rally in quarter one of the year. If the rally is able to sustain of for few months into 2019, we may see previous years benchmarks being crossed.

I think the whole market is in the stat of hope that includes traders, investors, startup project, and bountyhunters. At the current market stats, people are making pennies compared to what was made before, I think will have what we hope for will happen sooner or later but who knows when! Even if you lost money if you are still holding good coins like bitcoin and ethereum then you did well, now do not make the mistake of dropping your holdings now that we are closer to a recovery, even if I do not think a recovery will happen soon the worst has already passed, the price has not much room to go any lower and now the potential profits are enormous for anyone with the courage to buy now.

this year is really a year of drought for everyone, I even only made around $ 1,000 a year, really far different from 2017.
there are even some friends who have sold all their assets and left here. I hope there will be changes in the next year.
if not, I am worried that people's interest in crypto will disappear, if that happens you certainly know the answer, many will leave crypto and that will worsen the situation.

I dont see any clue that its going to be a bullish in 2019

Not exactly bullish but we will have some events early in the year that could probably attract some fresh capital into the crypto ecosystem like the launch of Bakkt, Fidelity Investments launching a crypto service platform, SEC's decision about the bitcoin etf, and some other events that I can't remember.

I don't know if they are FOMO inducing events that will trigger massive upward movements, but I think we'll see a btc rally thanks to one of those events. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic but you never know.

Since when you started to hold? have you been here last year or last time when the prices of most of the coins are on all time high? if you kept holding by that time and you didn't planned to sell, you should start thinking another strategy besides of holding.

Include selling on your plan, there's nothing wrong if you just HODL but you need to have plans in the future on when you'll start taking profits. This year, everyone who have it last year can't take profits for the coins that we held but if you're a shorter, you can.

hopefully as you predicted, because a lot of people are frustrated this time, after they experience fomo, then until now fud happens. but with patience we will get results later

Probably, all who get involved in cryptocurrencies experience the same thing as you. Still our hope rely by next year but still there is no assurance from the way we expect things. As discussed by the community, everyone are finding ways to handle the said drop and only those have strong faith can harvest a great amount of benefits.

As we can see, we see no bulls for now because they are waiting for the perfect moment to enter the market to make sure that they hit their goals.

In the next year I'm not sure whether the price of bitcoin and other coins will return as many people expect, now is where prices will come back down and that is an opportunity to invest by buying cheap prices.

Its been a while since we saw the bulls coming. we can now rest and wait for the big pump.
