First you need to decide which coin you are going to store in your wallet, when it is huge amount of bitcoin or altcoin for long term then you should go for hardware wallet like ledger nano S or trezor.Or pick the wallet with private keys like electrum. For storage of ethereum and erc 20 tokens then you can pick my ethereum walet which is the best of its kind.

Wallets that are being developed today and which today have real security guarantees, such wallets are in demand. You can very easily track the popularity of wallets, where there are more users. There and more security.

You have got two options, paid or free. Just spend some money and buy hardware wallet such as Ledger Nano or Trezor, if you don't want to spend money then Myetherwallet would be the best option for altcoins.

There are practically no reliable wallets now. One of my favorites is MEW. Recently there was an update with an interesting interface and now it is also convenient to use the wallet from a mobile device.

For ETH tokens, I use MEW. Reliable and easy to use wallet.
It seems to me that 80 percent of all users work with MEW. Although the smartphone I am using app Jaxx . It is very comfortable and supports several dozen cryptocurrencies.

MyCrypto is the "forked" MEW and it's pretty decent too. Both of them seem to hold the same security level to the point where they would recommend you to install their app so that you can use it without imposing the risk to a phishing site also encouraging 2fa. They are indeed the leaders of ETH wallet.

I think the wallet should be secure first, so I recommend you to use a hardware wallet. On the other hand, now there are a lot of wallets, but special benefits and additional happiness you will not get.

If you are able to buy a hardware wallet then just go for it. Ledger Nano S price is not expensive, it is like almost 100 USD! If you can't bear it, then you should use Metamask or Imtoken, both have no hack or scam news! Myetherwallet also good, but last year many people lost thousands of USD by using MEW, so be aware of it. Though they just launched Mewconnect app to protect the fund, So, you can try it too!

Based on the coin you have. Different coin has different wallet. If you are asking about which wallet to use for storing your ethereum coin and its tokens, I personally suggest you to use wallet that lets you to control your private keys like MEW. that's more secure than exchange wallet.

Which perks and features should one look for in a wallet?
Thanks in advance
It depends on your preference only. But, security is one thing you should not overlook while buying a crypto wallet. As the primary purpose of your wallet is to keep the funds secure, so it’s crucial that your wallet offers the utmost security. Carry out plenty of research before you commit. Also, many wallets provide full anonymity. So, this is also important while looking for a crypto wallet. User experience also plays an important role. Read the reviews to find out if the wallet is easy to use. For instance, if you wish to use your mobile to access your wallet, get a one that is specially designed for that purpose only. Lastly, look into the reputation of the wallet. Make sure you are confident before choosing the one. Also, read everything about digital wallet and its types before buying the wallet. This guide here can help you in choosing the right digital wallet for you. https://www.altcoinsidekick.com/bitcoin-basic-blog/choosing-the-right-digital-wallet-to-store-your-cryptocurrency

Of course, many of our coins need many wallets, but for me to save coins in top exchange like Binance or Bittrex is an easier and safer solution because we don't bother to remember the many coins we have.

Thank you

There are different types of wallet you can use depending on the tokens or coins you are holding. There are also online and offline wallets with different level of security and convenience. You are the one who can identify it according to your need and preference. Try to research about wallets.

As a hunter, I trust one purse mew. I don’t consider other wallets because it’s the easiest choice. Not all multi wallets support new coins.

for coins, which I think is important, I use a wallet because I believe this wallet can be trusted in terms of security, so I can calm down if for others I might use the blockchain as my second wallet, in my opinion the two wallets have different security systems than I chose it.
