The last time Waves are not pleased with their investors. Hope something will change after the Vostok.

Sorry, but in my opinion one project can't change the whole Waves project in terms of more attractiveness for the investors and potential new developers.

waves actually have good potential to be able to be coupled with ethereum, but now the waves like silence there are no good developments and whatever the team thinks of the waves, even though the waves have been on the ico project and support ico.  this could be a great potential for waves to be one of the second platforms after ethereum.  and now only the ethereum platform can be in the best position

This thread is no longer interesting to discuss, waves are unlikely to rival ethereum.
some waves projects don't have volume on the market.

Interesting tough. Actually I was thinking somewhat like the OP at the time when ETh was dropping like crazy .

My idea was that ETH has fallen and will never rise again just because the token sale market seemed to be completely wiped out on ETh base.
I was wrong Etherium still is a strong player . Because of that I think that Waves are not a very wise bet.

I found several projects with waves platform, but i think i am more interesting to project with Ethereum platform. For me waves can't replace Ethereum, there are still a lot of waves to do if want to beat Ethereum.

If you compare the waves platform projects between ETH projects, you'll see there is a big difference as ETH projects has experience to be profitable during the last bull run, Waves platform, not much or I just don't see any project that is profitable.

the use of network from waves is not so much, if we see so many projects that use the etheruem chain I certainly think all of that is very impossible.

majority of crap icos and scam coins were using waves platform, all of platforms that created by sasha have been failed and they are only wasting a lot of their money for nothing. All of the products were getting only short term hype and slowly death after that.

you're right, even though the waves are still alive with the value of being traded but I don't see any good growth by waves. they don't have such a great and large platform development as etheruem has achieved in 2017 where there are so many projects using the blockchain ethereum.

I'm basically a big Waves fan, but unfortunately I couldn't think of a really successful project on the Waves platform.
Let's see what the new Smart Contract language Rideon brings to the Waves Platform.

Hi;

As long as America's world leadership fight continues, I see the possibility of a global adaptation of a Russian based project to be zero.

Kind regards.

Agree, i reckon they are a bit late to the smart contracts party speaking of adoptions, let's see what the future will bring.

It doesn't have to be Russian based forever, it could also be run by Russians but from elsewhere or if it is sufficiently decentralized it could be fine, too.

But they are old in the market, they can do some changes for improvement, but I don't feel there's a chance they will replace ETH but to grow, I see some good potential in the long run. I'd call waves as a good investment for long term as well.

ETH is their to stay and will grow more stronger as the btc continues to rise . Waves may become more better in price but considering that it will replace ETH does not seems to be a fit for this situation  unless something drastically  things changes .

well, I think people's trust in ETH is greater than waves. for now, I believe that the price of ETH will go up, and leave further waves. in fact, for now, most people only focus on the development of ETH.
From where you can say people putting their trust on ETH is greater than waves? ETH value increased only because got affected with bitcoin value which recently went up (still increasing until now), but based on btc, it's still same like before (0.028-0.03 ish)

Waves platform cannot replace ethereum as they're having separation with each type of platform that they had. Their community differs from each other and if you think the adoption could compete towards the growing numbers of holder, well it cannot be fortold. We can't jive into conclusion that eth or waves may interfere with each other, their way of demand always have independent actions as well.

He definitely has a point. Ofc you can say that people trust more on ETH than on Waves. Just look how many new ICO/IEO are on the Ethereum blockchain and how many well-known projects do we have on Waves. It's a still a long way ahead for Waves to get more adoption.
