I think there will be more investors like professional managed funds or even retirement funds which will invest into ICOs. The prices for ICOs will then become even more expensive and make it more difficult to make profits for small investors.

So they might try to spin the words differently next time or something.

I actually agree with some this. Because if you have to reveal in public exactly what they did wrong or exactly how their text spun post can be reverted to original that has been copy and spun paste by certain algo or method and it works in more than one of their posts then they can rework this to avoid the detection spider. I mean to demonstrate it is copy and paste then you have to show how the technique used to spin from original.

Spun posts probably only need to be witnessed by a few members including people we know are unlikely to collude and if all agree it can be demonstrated to be text spun then no need to show to the public.  I think only though if totally impartial objective people are involved in seeing it and making decision on it.

It is not great to not have full public disclosure .... tough one to fix.

I used to think the spammers are just getting desperate for losing farmed accounts, knowing they'll never be able to earn them back. But if they're indeed trying to "improve" their shitposting plagiarism to avoid detection, we should stop providing them this information.

On the other hand, there's a thread filled with examples already. And checking some of their older posts will be enough to bust the older copy/pasters.

Nah, I don't think it's that. They almost certainly know what they've done 99% of the time but are really hoping we don't and have made a mistake or at least can't provide them with proof. Until they see concrete evidence they're not gonna let their cash cow be culled and will kick and scream hoping that it'll be reinstated because they've certainly got nothing to lose. It's only natural I suppose. If you were called into the managers office and told you were fired for gross misconduct without a specific reason given wouldn't you want to know why? They're probably like criminals who get arrested for a crime but think there's no (or not enough) evidence on them to be charged, so they play dumb and smug because they think they've got away with it and will be released shortly. Then they get shown the CCTV with them committing the crime on it and are like ohshiiii - you got me.

Also, a lot of these ones that have word spun might claim something like parallel thinking aka we had the same thoughts if the posts are significantly jumbled up.

I don't think they're smart enough to figure it out anyway so I'm not too concerned about it. Although this brings up a somewhat philosophical issue - when does copypasta become sufficiently mangled to be considered a unique piece of art?

Yeah it could be just my paranoia. But there was at least one who asked point blank how we found it.
