etherchain isnt better than blockchain so it cant be king in this circumstances.

I also agree that ethereum is the king if you're talking about altcoins, because Ethereum can only be the second best next to bitcoin, ETH just can't overthrow bitcoin.

I still believe that Ethereum is the king of altcoins, and it have the potential to keep this first position for many coming years, in my view. Of course, there are so many other promising altcoins, like Ripple, Neo, and Waves, but ETH is still more valuable and having more attractive features.

I agree with you , ethereum deserves to be called the king of coins for the future , even though at this time the price of the ethreum fell heavily , factor due to poor market conditions when the market conditions are nice, I sure the price of ethereum will go up again |

Don't make easy judgement, hardfork will happen but it does not guarantee that the price will rise.
If you look at the entire market right now, it's full of red so there's only a little chance that ETH will rise, not unless BTC will start to soar again.
I am not thinking of other reason anymore because altcoins has no capacity to pump if bitcoin wil continue to dump, at least this year, let's expect some miracle.
usually before hardfork are happen the price for altcoin is going up, but i don't see the significant increase regarding ethereum at this time after the pending date of ethereum hardfork |

I do not know if it is appropriate to call it the king of altcoins but there are definitely many altcoins that depend on ethereum and I have no doubt that eventually ethereum will recover, the greatest issue is that we cannot really predict accurately when that will happen so the only choice for someone like me is to keep holding my ethereum and wait for the recovery to happen. |

$83 was certainly a low point and ETH looked really under-priced there compared to BTC. However we must remember that the bear market is not over, so we may see further drops. I do think for ETH though that we have now seen the low point vs BTC, and it will now rise vs BTC although it may still fall in dollar terms. |
