Right, well I have it now. It's certainly not the same A2 as the first one. Differences noted so far:

Black Case
Nice chrome handle on the top
Real 400W ATX PSU
Access slot for SD card in top
A nice layer of dust on the fan, and all the internals
Brown PCBs that seem thinner

Edit -  And even louder than the first one

Very interesting. I'll have to wait until at least tomorrow.

I assume the blades are the same? Or do they already have 10 chips.
Too bad I ordered 2 new PSU's and now I only need one.
Let me know the results.

I don't hope they replaced the fiberglass PCB's with Pertinax ones.

Blades are similar, haven't counted the chips. Scripta is reporting 432 cores on each so I guess they are still 8 chips.

At least both your blades are ok. My current A2 gives 432 for the first blade and 422 to 424 cores for the second.
The second blade is also much worse with respect to max. clock freq. and hw errors.

Yes my first one reports 432 and 428 cores. This new one is showing 432 and 431. My first one I can run one blade at 1280 and the other at 1200 with a reasonable amount of hardware errors. This one seems to be the same, one blade performs better than the other. Temperatures are better, simply because the air flows through the case better. I'll take some pictures shortly and get them up.

Maybe the difference between the blades has something to do with the controller.
I will try to exchange them on the controller to see what happens.

No that makes no difference. In my 1st one I had taken my blades out to put MX-2 on, when I hooked them up I connected them to the controller differently. I then had to swap the frequencies in cgminer

Ok, maybe it is policy to put in one good and one lesser blade. Who knows.

Nice pictures, inside is a little bit dark though.

The heat-sinks seem a little bit different.

Does it consume less power with the ATX PSU?

I still have one spare Scyte fan, this is the first thing I will change.

Just backing up the SD card, so I have a nice clean one to build as I like it for both machines. Then I will do a power check. I have ordered another Scythe fan, thank god for Amazon Prime guaranteed next day delivery

The case is much better than the silver one BTW. I've asked MinerEU if their supplier can supply just a case. Then I can transplant silver one into it

Guys, the new A2MINI is from a new factory, the previous seriously fucked up and pissed off not only you guys but us as resellers and innosilicon themselves .
Innosilicon was pursuing for compensation from that factory, but was not successful.
But what is important is that you guys get the shinny new A2MINI now, enjoy.

MinerEU.com A2BOX(84M) A2MINI(28M) in stock and ready to ship out.  This is not a pre-order and we do not do pre-order

I'm thinking about having a totally new case made where I can put the four blades together with a PSU in.
At the University where I used to work, they have a large mechanical workshop, when I ask these guy's they will do it for me.

I'd be interested if they want to make a few to earn some beer money :-)

Wow! That is even less than expected.
Maybe it has something to do with the power-meter it could be sensitive to the cos-phi.
