i was just responding to the post with hypothetical set price. so i hypothetically gave the possible scenario once it hit the exchange. lol actually, there's no defined price yet for this so-called fork of eth. maybe they are trying to take advantage of getting noticed by using the popularity of ethereum. they dont have anything to do with the true eth developers
May be you are right or why not they are telling anything about the developers. We have to accept this fact that the website looks very professional and they are using the name of ETH.

I am still curious to know about the developers.

It is not correct, this chain will fork Ethereum main chain in a certain time. Every fork can be perceived as an airdrop since holders on the old chain receive coins on the new chain. Just to make things clear  Wink
It seems to me that if a lot of people find out about the emerging aerodrope, then this can significantly affect the cost of the Ethereum itself.

No, it will not, there is no reason that this project can affect ETH price in the future considering its popularity right now.
it might affect ETH price in the future if this project has more supporter or an advanced technology compared to ETH right now. But currently, it does not have both of it.
more importantly, this project chooses to fork ETH itself as their code source.

REMEMBER, they are forking the source!

Yes this, just read the data from the website. And based on the data that I read from the website, this project will implement both Proof of work and Proof of stake at the same time.
(I could make this conclusion because of this statement).
Quote
We hope to achieve a full transition to PoS mining and validation much faster than it happens in the Ethereum network
but why do I feel like, something is missing? still watching for more information, still have plenty of time before the date of the snapshot/hardfork.
Given the trends in today's crypto market, the transition from classical mining to the POS algorithm is a very good decision. Thus, the network will be held by the coin owners and will not depend on powerful mining farms.

If this is the case, then the era of those people who actually hold the tokens will come and will themselves supervise the price from trading

Not a fact, even if everyone learns that I do not think that it will greatly affect ethereum itself.

I think that the open project is always better than secrets. Many investors were deceived in 2018, so openness and full information about the project will be the best advertisement.
Openness is very important. This contributes to building trust between developers and investors. This practice always goes on improving the crypto rating of the project.

Very true, the probability it will affect ETH price is almost zero  Smiley The new chain (ETCV) is going to get its community, supporters and influence with following upgrades and improvements which takes time.

To make the things clear, I want to explain what is going on and the team should confirm whether it is true or not.
1. ETH hardfork in the middle of January will not create a new project, because it's an upgrade instead of the split and ETCV has nothing to do with ETH itself, right?
2. ETCV supporters will get their own coin based on ETH snapshot at 11 January later, that means it's an airdrop based on the database from the snapshot, right?

there is a confusion in the community regarding this project and upcoming ETH fork, and the team needs to make an explanation in detail about this.
You all correctly described. Project ETCV is a separate project from Ethereum. All holders of the original ETH will receive their ETCV coins in January.

I hope that ETCV it will not just fork Ethereum. If there is no serious innovation and technology behind the project, then it will be just a dummy ... I hope that this is not so and the team has something to offer its users.
The developers position their coin as an alternative view of what Ethereum would look like. I really want to wait for the result!

New views on ethereum is good. I think this is a very promising direction.

I agree with you. We would all like to know more information. And yet it is fork ethereum or not?
You're right. ETCV is fork Ethereum. More precisely, let's say this is how Ethereum could look like if the developers decided to go another way.

Just joined ETCV telegram group, by why when someone asked whether it is ERC or not. Some people said it is an ERC based token, honestly what is going on with this project?
it is a standalone project or an ERC based token? if it is an ERC based token, that means it can not be considered as a fork because it needs ETH network to do the transaction. and technically speaking it's a token and part of ETH.

it is token or coin? the team needs to educate us and giving us more information about this project.

I generally think that mining should be discarded and that the future is in PoS. And most ethereum for a long time to go to this system

The most important thing for investors is that all the information about the project is completely credible.

Yeah, when you read more posts here nobody knows if it is classic ERC-20 token or real hard fork coin.
If it is only ERC-20 token, then it doesnt make any sense and soon this project will die because it will not be able to bring something special.

If the project fully implements everything as written, then in the future there will be success, but it is important how the bounty will take place.

I think the most important thing for us now is to understand the fork of the etherium or the coin based on the blockhain of the ethereum. I think this is fundamentally very important.

Simply, if it is a coin based on ethereum, then there is nothing new here. But if this fork then the project can really bring something new to the cryptocurrency
