Asking a CEO of a bank what they think of #bitcoin is like asking the CEO of a taxi company what they think of uber.

Do you agree with the sentence above?

Do you think the bankers all hate BTC?

Or they have already taken part in cryptocurrency world?

Looking forward for your ideas.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I do not think so, they have to defend their banking system with FIAT money for now, but they expect the massive adoption of cryptocurrency, then they will show themselves to the people as great protectors of cryptocurrency.

In these moments of the bear market they are accumulating. Wink

That's an overstatement, most banks hate BTC but not all banks hate BTC. In my country one of them started showing interest by mining Bitcoin(article).

Did a quick search on other countries. Some of them are fine with Bitcoin found this old thread of Bitcoin friendly banks. There's probably more now that Bitcoin is getting bigger year after year.

Bankers are businessmen. I think that they are now investing in Bitcoin in order to make money on market manipulations that are currently taking place.

Bitcoin will not be able to destroy the banking system

bankers, at least professional bankers should be free of any sentiments when money talk
bitcoin turned out to be one of the most profitable assets- in 3 years time its value grew 50+ times
find me another asset that has shown similar results?
I'm pretty sure many of them are holding to some bitcoins while cussing it publicly:)
also for some of them it is different , take for example, Goldman Sachs :
https://www.investinblockchain.com/goldman-sachs-bitcoin-trading-desk/
they see the potential bitcoin offers and the first ones to enter markets always gain advantage
so in general, yes bankers are opposed to legalising bitcoins and making it fulfil your usual money 3 roles
as store of value, medium of exchange or a unit of measurement ,but sooner or later this will change

The bank itself might dont like bitcoin, cryptos and stuffs but the people who operates inside the bank has free will to like or dislike bitcoin.

Unless there is a policy that specific bank runs that liking bitcoin and stuffs would lead them to be fired. AFAIK, theres one financial institution that has this kind of rule. They may dislike it for now but they can reverse it afterwards.

Categorically this is not a General conclusion for all Bankers. Over here in my country, I have a lot of friends who worked in the Bank and at the same time are understand the purpose of Digital Currency (Bitcoin). For I have seen many of them who find interest and also have a group of people who mine BTC for them while they get busy with their Jobs.

Im not so sure now. I think behind closed doors many many banks are looking
at creating bitcoin investment products. As posted above they are in the business
of making money and they can see potential in their move and obviously in bitcoin.

I created a thread about the second largest bank in Germany creating one such move
> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088570.msg48836343#msg48836343

Stuttgart Stock Exchange (Börse Stuttgart), Germany’s second largest exchange and the ninth largest in Europe, is scheduled to launch its upcoming crypto trading platform in the first half of 2019 in collaboration with Berlin-based fintech company solarisBank which will also offer crypto-trading banking services for the stock exchange.

I think that you are wrong.
Bankers have no difference what financial assets to manage.
If states legalize bitcoin as a currency, trust me - the first to vote for bitcoin are bankers.

I don't think so. It is true that most banks don't like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies due to its decentralized nature but there are also cryptocurrency friendly banks that lets their clients use their bank accounts for transactions related to Bitcoin which means that not all banks are against it. There are also banks that are already researching about cryptocurrencies and blockchain because they see the potential of these technologies. And who knows, maybe some of those banking giants are one of the whales of crypto market.

At the state Bitcoin is right now, I'm sure they love it!

The relative low market capitalization allows rich people like bankers to make money out of price and media manipulation, taking advantage of those 15 years old who think Bitcoin is here to make them billionaires with 0 work.
But when/if Bitcoin brake free of their control and becomes too widely used, the fees they'll lose from all kind of transactions and the small bank accounts will make bankers Bitcoin enemies. That is something I'm afraid of to be honest since they surely have big control over the system.

Yes,they may hate bitcoin because of bitcoin becomes mainstream payment method then there will be no need of banks so they will be left out with no job so they will be holding their job by promoting the bitcoin in upside down way.

But if a person who knows how this economics works will never support the banking system they may just look for an alternative like BTC.

Bankers are professionals and mighr probably they know every detail of financial transaction including how things around different financial institutions. They can read charts, tables, and statistics with ease. With these capability, they already have advantages if ever they will enter cryptocurrency. I believe that most bankers are already entered the cryptocurrency. They know that with proper knowledge and skills, they can take advantage to earn profits in cryptocurrency.

Banks will want to give the impression that they hate bitcoin as they see it as a threat. The more momentum the market gets the more the banks will have to evolve and embrace it. I think this is already happening behind the scenes.

I don't think not all bank hate Bitcoin, in fact that there are many banks around the world defend and have corporations with crypto currency industry. There are many banks that are not ready to adopt crypto currency in massive. Then, peole think that this is like rejection of bitcoin.

this was done maybe because the bankers did not want their jobs lost. because when compared to the central bank, of course the BTC still has a better level, but the bankers want to give a bad stigma to crypto.

They maybe hate bitcoin, because bitcoin offer something that clashing with their principle, bitcoin offer freedom which is something not preferred by the bankers, the bankers also afraid bitcoin could disrupt the the economic system, so the bitcoin really makes the bankers in uncomfortable position

I think it depends who you ask.

There are lots of people within banks, namely tech-oriented people, who like many of the concepts being discussed and developed in crypto communities today. There are aspects of cryptocurrencies that are actually beneficial to banks. For example, clearing transactions whether it be on the stock market or a POS event at a shop takes very little time today, however, settling these transactions can take days, if not weeks. Surely banks (and their clients) can benefit from using the bitcoin network rather than wait for such long periods of time to settle their transactions, especially since they must expose themselves and their clients to counterparty risk, etc.

All bankers know the strategies to investments so it will not be impossible that some of them have or invested and hodl their money with bitcoin. I think that not all of the bankers have it because there are a lot of ways to grow their money but I am happy if some of them have bitcoin.

I don't think so, I believe they also adopt this new form of currency and used it for there daily transactions as well. It is the community development and they might accept such changes even it could lessen the numbers of client. Besides,  not all of us are using digital currencies and therefore they could still exist.

Not sure if they hate, some big names in the banking industry are publicly saying bitcoin is a bubble or a scam but we do not really know what's inside their mind. We have to remember that bankers are good in making money, if their statement can affect the market, they will use it to their advantage, so it's better to also think outside the box, don't listed to them, listen to the people.

Well i would not say that all bankers hate btc because almost all of us were saving with the banks until we got to know more about cryptocurrency investments. But what i know is that the central government that owns and operates the central banks rather don't appreciate that transactions be made using bitcoin because cryptocurrency payment evade all forms of taxes and this makes the government lose money.

Yes all bankers hate BTC. They never like bitcoin. Because bitcoin works on depend blockchain technology. Using blockchain technology a person can send money to any person without take any help from bank. And sending fees is very low than bank fees. So thats why all bankers don’t like BTC. If all people use bitcoin then bank business will close in future.

Bitcoin users increasing day by day. Maximum people now use bitcoin for sending money. So they never takes bank help. Sending money by bitcoin only takes 10-15 minutes. So it is so fast than bank. We should always use bitcoin.

They maybe hate bitcoin, because bitcoin offer something that clashing with their principle, bitcoin offer freedom which is something not preferred by the bankers, the bankers also afraid bitcoin could disrupt the the economic system, so the bitcoin really makes the bankers in uncomfortable position
That is the worst thing that might happen to the bank. if the cryptocurrency and blockchain are really mass adoption and become the main system. but I don't think for now many bankers hate bitcoin. even they don't have an idea what bitcoin is?

That's an overstatement, most banks hate BTC but not all banks hate BTC. In my country one of them started showing interest by mining Bitcoin

This is a better statement than what the OP wrote. There is no way all will be against bitcoin. By the way, bitcoin can not survive without fiat. Fiat is bank. So if all bankers hate it, bitcoin will not survive a year longer.

They do not hate the technology, they hate the fact that this technology is taking some of their market share. You cannot exploit people with high fees for years and then expect them not to support a competing technology that has less fees.

Banks love the technology behind Bitcoin, because they know this technology can be used to improve their networks to make them more efficient and then more profitable. They will not push the savings with the lower fees to the customers, but rather to the investors and shareholders of the Bank.  Angry

I do not think that bankers hate bitcoin.
As a matter of fact, I have seen the core bankers who are hugely invested in bitcoin.
So they do not only like bitcoin but invest hugely and even encourage others to join cryptocurrency but not in their official capacity though.

True. There are some banks who remain Bitcoin friendly and chooses to take advantage and make money out of it. I guess when banks know that they can really make a good profit out of Bitcoin then why not? They are in the business of making money so why hate something that can give them benefits in the long run? It doesn't make sense, I guess those banks who do hate bitcoin are purist and are afraid that they will become obsolete because of crypto's but we all know that it won't happen.

Not all of them, smart bankers are adopting crypto and blockchain in general because they know it represents the future. Some banks already implemented crypto forms, If I am right ripple is a product of three different banks.

I don't think not all bank hate Bitcoin, in fact that there are many banks around the world defend and have corporations with crypto currency industry. There are many banks that are not ready to adopt crypto currency in massive. Then, peole think that this is like rejection of bitcoin.

Maybe some but not all... The entry of crypto currency into the market world create a lot of uneasyness, some fearful about on what to become of the Banking Industry once crypto currency digital transaction is globally accepted? Some are not open for crypto tansaction, we've already seen or read that some are against crypto. With this apprehension create a lot of issues confronting Bitcoin today. Yet. Some banking institution are opening and embrasing the usage of Bitcoin. In due time once all the concerns are resolved are address globally, then we can see the fears will die down...lets wait, Bitcoin is our future crypto coin in the making.

I think bankers are not against bitcoins. They now can not accept bitcoins because the regulators do not allow this. Also the cause is a large volatility. But not more.

Most of the banks are hating Bitcoin because generally bank use Fiat currency. Bitcoin is a crypto currency and it is not a centralized. It is a decentralized crypto currency. I think with in some years, banks will accept Bitcoin by announcing Bitcoin as a their legal currency.

Friends, I looked at the Bitcoin chart, thought what was needed for the global trend reversal and came up with such a thing.
many miners made a good score on the growth of bitcoin. someone leaked the cue ball over 18000-20000, someone mined for free electricity, someone paid for the cards several times and sold them three times more expensive.
in general, bitcoin worked on miners, now miners should work on it. It's time to tighten a little tighter belt.
And the idea is that in the next two or three years while mining, the bitcoins go not to the miner, but an empty wallet is randomly determined and a coin drips onto it. Now, when with each new unit acquired, the reward goes to a random empty wallet, then the person to whom the bitcoins came in will start using them for real-life calculations and the popularity of the crypt will grow.
transactions must also be free. we do not pay for using Google or Facebook.

in three years so many will enter the crypt and begin to use it.

All banks do not hate cryptocurrency development Vikas some of the technical issue will be there disturbance for the development of Crypto field under government also the victim for the non development of a non approval for the strike of cryptocurrency so we do not say the only reason is bankers.

They hate crypto currencies because of their own selfish reasons. They fear that usage of crypto currencies can replace them. Crypto currencies are decentralized, this means that no third party needs to be involved during transactions which is what banks actually do. If cryptocurrencies prevail and fiat comes to an end, then banks will also come to an end. If banks come to an end, the people operating the banks will end up being jobless.

Full adoption of bitcoin possess a threat to bankers a time is coming when investors will rather hodl their bitcoin in a wallet rather than banking it as fiat thus putting banking jobs at stake that is why bankers will do every possible means of degrading bitcoin so as to keep their jobs.

This is another of the fallacies that have pervaded the crypto space in my opinion because claiming bankers hate btc means that individuals working in the bank don't want to have anything to do with crypto as a whole forgetting that a lot of them have invested in crypto in their personal capacity as individuals and several others have become account managers to individuals who are engaged in crypto. Eventually, we will outgrow all of this fallacious believes.

Asking a CEO of a bank what they think of #bitcoin is like asking the CEO of a taxi company what they think of uber.

Do you agree with the sentence above?
NO. in fact they already understand the system that is running and are fully aware of the existence of bitcoin. they are even indirectly benefited by bitcoin users, because the bitcoin transaction bridge is a bank. Depositing users must first buy in the market, they exchange FIAT to Bitcoin, and vice versa. those who need FIAT for the daily needs of attracting bitcoins by exchanging it for FIAT and this through the bank

Do you think the bankers all hate BTC?
Of course not.

Or they have already taken part in cryptocurrency world?
in my country there are many bankers involved in the crypto world, either as traders, investors, or just following developments from day to day. of course this is personally not an institution.

This is a big exaggeration. Employees of banks that receive wages for their work, rather than a percentage of the profits of banks, almost no matter whether the banking system loses something from the introduction of cryptocurrency, or not. They may, on the contrary, be interested in additional earnings in cryptocurrency. Moreover, it should be recognized that only the top executives of various banks may lose their profits due to partial crowding out of the usual cryptocurrency currency. They may have a hostile attitude towards cryptocurrency.

They don't all hate it. This statement is a generalization much like saying that all graduates must be smart and all physical workers must be uneducated.
Banks want to slow down the progress of cryptocurrencies and prepare themselves to take over and compete with them. They seem to hate it because they have to. If they support it and it explodes in value it will be too late to profit from it.

Central bankers - sure. But their whole game is being in private, so don't expect public trashing of Bitcoin.
Bank owners - not necessarily. Their job is to make money, bitcoin is a means to making money. If they're smart, they won't necessarily hate it.
Most hate is fueled by ignorance.

Not all of them. I personally have introduced BTC to a banker and I told him both the risk and potential of the coin. Today he is also into cryptocurrency. I can remember the last we discussed, he was telling me that the world is tending towards technology like blockchain

I don't think so.
In reality, banks have to follow certain official rules and regulations.
For example, central bank in my country issued public statement that bitcoin is not currency or financial asset and all banks in the country have to follow it.
But, indvidually, bankers are free to do as they wish, so as private person they can invest in btc and crypto.
In fact, I'm sure that many do.

Most the people I knew thought the same thing, that bankers hate Bitcoin and other crypto currencies but in reality, it is not really happening. Bankers don't hate Bitcoin or any other cryptos in fact it might be a good for them since they can find a way to develop their technology, isnt that right?

They hate crypto currencies because of their own selfish reasons. They fear that usage of crypto currencies can replace them. Crypto currencies are decentralized, this means that no third party needs to be involved during transactions which is what banks actually do.
I believe bankers' opinion is not at all matter for bitcoin as it is anyhow going to replace them. It may take some time but definitely it is going to happen. Because, people from around the world start realizing the importance of having decentralized system for their financial need. Banks are actually devaluing common people's hard work whereas a deflated system increasing the value of people's savings . This core differences will be the key. Yes, that is the real success of of being decentralized with limited supply.

If cryptocurrencies prevail and fiat comes to an end, then banks will also come to an end. If banks come to an end, the people operating the banks will end up being jobless.
No, that will not happen in a single day hence people will be having enough time to switch over to new jobs. Moreover, blockchain based systems will be innovating and creating lots of new jobs hence the questions of unemployment due to this is completely meaningless.

Some of the bankers had started to key into blockchain technology which has come to stay and some bankers sees ripple as an alternative to bitcoin which is centralized to counter bitcoin which is decentralized what ever the case may be bankers don't have any option than to accept the reality.

not all, but some bankers hate btc. because BTC goes far beyond their technology, but passes through several state laws that make it illegal. for example btc has not received legal from the government and btc transactions do peer to peer without going through a third party or banker. so it's only natural that there is dislike.

Not all of banks are hate bitcoin, there are now banks that showing interest in adopting blockchain technology. I am sure that most of the financial institutions will adopt blockchain technology because of its function in our economy.

After all, bitcoin is somehow benificial to them. Bitcoin and banks can go hand in hand and nkt necessarily hate each othet just because of one service that they can provide which is remmitance. We need banjs services other than remittance like loan which cannot be provided by bitcoin alone

I think everything is inseparable from manipulation, banks may seem to hate bitcoin but it does not rule out the possibility that banks also like the bitcoin system.

1.- Yes bitcoin is the main enemy of the bankers nowadays, just because they don't have control over it.
2.-Not all of them hate bitcoin, the ones who already become richer just love it, lol.
3.-For sure they are part of it because is a money opportunity, and no one wants to miss it, and less if you are in the money business (like bankers do.)

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is a threat for the banking industry, if the cryptocurrency boom and everyone will used it the banking industry will left behind imagine if people has the control with their accounts what will the banks will do that is why they dont support this kind of industry.

Many bankers are probably accumulating some bitcoins and maybe even altcoins in secret. Just in case.

Yes most bankers hate BTC, I feel it all because of the competitive reasoning they have about Bitcoin, They feel if such currency will be developed it should come from the banking platform where they will be the sole controller and  and regulator of same, just they way they have a synchronize system with the forex and stock exchange sector globally

Nope,I think they are one of the biggest investment in crypto, they already invest in stock and forex to increase profit. In media ,they will always oppose so that people will only use their service ,they are earning from  both side , by opposing it and by secretly investing in crypto to gain high profit as it is much more profitable that stock market.

I think that in the future the banks will work together with bitcoin. But not all. Some governments have a negative attitude to cryptocurrencies and such countries will never accept bitcoin. But I hope that we will have a digital future and that we will be able to freely make purchases with bitcoin and there will be no pressure from the government.

This system is really a competition for them so really cant blame them if they dont want but I think many financial experts like traders accept crypto as they also earn from those newbies

I don't think so, perhaps if you ask the CEO of a bank about bitcoin, most of them don't know about bitcoin, and only a few people know. It's strange for me because they are work in the economy, but they didn't notice that there is a new technology which is trying to support the economics and finance. I think if that CEO doesn't know about bitcoin, they should learn about bitcoin, so they know what the benefits of bitcoin and the other coin are.

logically bankers will definitely hate bitcoin, because the financial systems are different, and the bank system will certainly be defeated because blockchain and crypto have very innovative systems, but the fact is that bankers don't know what bitcoin is.

Maybe most banks hate bitcoin but there are some banks that have adopted cryptocurrency as a money transfer system. The concept of banks and cryptocurrency is very different indeed, but both have advantages and disadvantages of each. I guess this problem doesn't have to be extended so as that will lead to pros and cons and make some people stay away from bank and for some people who like bank will stay away form bitcoin, maybe this is an opportunity for us to take advantage of the functions of banks and bitcoin, I think both of them can give a complement each other.

We all know most of the bank are controlled by the government. I dont think bank like bitcoin the way they are. It because hard to track their account with bitcoin in other hand in bank the got a full excess on our bank detail. So it hard for bank to get hand on our account if they accepted bitcoin in their system.

I agree, bankers do react weird when they are asked about Bitcoin or any crypto currency. I think instead of showing resistance if they explore the technology they could have contribute a lot.

I think not all bankers hate bitcoin and they are merely following the rules that set up by the government or central bank for the banking sector. But once a government legalized bitcoin with corresponding regulationsm many banks will start to study bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for possible adoption in the future. Some officials from banking sectors are also invested some significant amount of their money in the crypto market even their banks
did not allow it.

It is not hate, it is fear.

If cryptocurrencies become mainstream and people use this for everything that could harm banks profit a lot.

Because banks are unnecessary mediators in the context of crossbording (for example) payments. Cryptos provide people P2P system with no banks and large fees unlike the conventional banking system.

Those who owns the bank maybe but not all those who works inside it. But I guess there are some banks who accepts bitcoin as innovation and a thing that would bring a certain change to the community and how people live.

Yes it is not hate it is fear because BTC is developed on block chain technology and it can affect their business if it come into existence and BTC transactions are widely adopted and bank will not get the profit if BTC grows and take the market.

I am sure the bank does not completely hate bitcoin, surely they will research the technology that is in bitcoin and they will apply it to their modern banking system. We cannot deny that the technology in bitcoin is very useful if used in the future and surely the bank will use it. And it has been seen that many banks, especially in my area, have a digital payment technology system such as technology that is in bitcoin. So if you say a bank hates bitcoin, maybe I think it's not entirely.

I dont think all bankers hate bitcoin. I know of some bankers exploring bitcoin and other alts which goes to show that they are open to crypto use. Some, however, have an aversion to bitcoin apparently due to its extreme volatilty

All bankers will hate bitcoin cause they will cannot get paid by using blockchain unless they make their own coin. Which i hope so. Ripple is the first that being used by the bank. So far it has no use for me. The price has being manipulated and i still pick bitcoin to be more better used.

I guess not. Banks are just alarmed about what cryptocurrency can bring to modern banking and also being a new medium of exchange. This can also be the way to change their system and adopt to new form begged by the society. They can use it for banking purposes and see it an opportunity rather than threat.

All bankers doesn't hate bitcoin but we should agree today many fear about bitcoin specially due to false news and rumors that say it is developed to destroy the current traditional banking system but still some banks like Swiz and other few keep an open mind regarding bitcoin and its potential features and also some has gone to the extend to invest in bitcoin to attract new customers to there businesses in order to increase profits so there are both who hate and who doesn't

I agree on you.I don't see any reason why they should hate bitcoin that much.Bitcoin is not really competing with fiat currency. It's there to serve as an another option for payment wherein people will find it more convenient and faster transactions.Instead of comparing them always, would it be more nicer to think that they can be working hand in hand?

Bankers hate or love btc depend on government regulation because nobody can't break their rule.
It's reasonable since they are taking the charge.

Why must be hate while crypto make easier for the people to do transaction like never before ( using fiat )

Indeed and they are doing everything just to ruin this market. My friend is working at the bank, and they are not allowed to own any cryptocurrency as the manager said it is a scam or what. This is a mind conditioning and the banking industry really feel the threat with cryptocurrency. Some banks are ready to adopt cryptocurrency just like XRP, but not all are open for this possibility right now maybe soon they will slowly adopt blockchain technology.

I really do not understand why banks still didn't add crypto on their exchange lists. This is simple loose of possible profit.
But the key seems obvious, the government still didn't admit crypto, that fact creates problem to banks of crypto using.

I don't think that all banks hate bitcoin, because I've seen several banks support the development of bitcoin, even some banks collaborate with projects that smell like cryptocurrency. well, however, it can be ascertained that some banks do hate bitcoin.

Well it can't be helped. Old school bankers will always be wary of bitcoin since it'll be hard to incorporate btc's decentralized features to what these banks are used to. And banks need control over our money so they'd likely prefer that btc doesn't move forward.

No, not at all, here in my country there is a bank whom I shal not tell is actually accepting BTC and will replace your BTC into fiat and then you can actually cash it out without even taking any transaction fees, they do it for free, I just know that they wilk benefit from here because they will not do this if they will not take any kind of profit or incentives from doing this.

Although this digital currency is really causing them some challenges, lets not forget that some banks also has also started incorporating the technology behind digital currencies in their day to day administrative work which is paying of for them.

Not at all since many banks now are ready to adopt blockchain technology, because they realize that its good for them to use it. Some are still in a resistance mode, and we cannot force them to invesr if they don’t want to for sure they know the threat and banks are already preparing for that, so let the time convince them to adopt.

Not "all" hates Bitcoin. Here in my country there is bank that recently uses Blockchain technology and they even won an award for it. Other banks are following their move. It just the investment risk that Banks don't like about Bitcoin. They will not recommend it and say its high risk. They only protect their clients. They will accept deposits from earnings from Bitcoins.

I still believe there will be bankers around the world who have invested their own money into bitcoin, and they could always choose to remain anonymous with their investment in bitcoin. Since the banks are powerless to shut down crypto-currencies exchanges operating around the world, I am not really concern about bankers views on bitcoin at the end of the day.

I think bankers will take advantages from bitcoin market. Bankers already have a lot experience about financial market and i think they dont really hate bitcoin. We see it right now many bankers start to invest in cryptomarket at cheap price and they just want to make profits from this market

I also believe because actually investing in Bitcoin is very interesting, rather than stopping it, it's better to participate in Bitcoin because it can be very profitable.

especially at this time the development of Bitcoin cannot be easily dammed so it is better to take advantage of the existence of Bitcoin.

I think NOT. Some people I know who works in the bank is also investing in Bitcoin. SHHHHH Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Not only bankers but also bank owners .  on our country many banks here are now supporting cryptos and we now even have bitcoin atm's here  .

in this world that were living , there are always haters not only on cryptos but almost on all things  because god intented it to be that way  .Anyway , aside from haters ther are also doubters .  they are the ones that willing to try but they are afraid of what will get . this also applies to cryptos , some banks didnt hate btc but their are doubting knowing that btc isnt really legal.  they are also afraid to take its risk because they think that volatility can cause them a loss  .

Maybe Bankers hates bitcoin because bitcoin can disrupt banks bussiness. But as far i know, banks have a lot bussiness beside saving and transfering money. Right now, many banks have investment bussiness and insurance bussiness and i think bitcoin should be not disrupting banks bussiness.

I don't think all bankers or banks are BTC haters but of course everyone is somewhat opposed to competition and since bitcoin and the blockchain technology got on the scene there are many financial institution who are scared of the unknown and don't want to be rendered obsolete in the future since they cannot compete with bitcoin and it's blockchain's ever evolving technology.

yes, I also don't think that banks hate bitcoin. it's just that, I feel that the bank's performance is indeed a little distracted by the existence of bitcoin. well, but on the other hand, I feel that banks also use this technology.

Actually I don't agree. It's true that some see it as competition and a factor that could make serious disturbance in well established economic system but I wouldn't say that bankers hate Bitcoin. They are just very cautious.
Also, I think their attitude has changed over time and they also realize Bitcoin could be one source of profit for them too. But they need legal and legitimate assets for business so for banks to accept Bitcoin one of the primar conditions is regulation. To my opinion with time situation will further improve in favour of Bitcoin but such changes don't happen over night.

I guess that is true. Here in my country, my fellow bitcoin traders are very cautious on answering the employee of the banks whenever they asked us about our source of our income. We often say it is from freelancing because it's much better to say that because if not then there is a chance our account could get closed.

Yes, bankers hate bitcoin because one day it will replace them and because bitcoin's security is much better.

If you would know the amount of money banks and companies like Visa and Mastercard lose every year to hacks and other schemes... Hundreds of millions. But they don't say anything and assume the loss.

Crypto is much safer than cash or credit cards. Of course there are those who claim the opposite.

No and they should not hate bitcoin banks were really useful when you made some payments to buy out crypto. We could not just trust any third parties that could be trusted with transfer of huge money. Besides exchanger for crypto does need this banks to receive payment to which banks could earn. The more crypto conversion to be made the more these banks will going to earn.

no, there are even many bankers who do support the use of bitcoin. many bankers are aware that bitcoin has many benefits and when applying bitcoin technology to banking it can push the bank to be much better. Current technological advances make many people invest in the technological revolution, including the current financial system revolution to become a financial digitization system.

I'm sure not all banks that hate bitcoin and the technology that is owned by bitcoin, it is proven that there are many cryptocurrency that can work together with several banks such as one ripple, XLM and several other coins. whereas for bitcoin I am sure they use a lot of blockchain technology for further modification but the system is almost the same as the blockchain.

I don't think that All banks hate it, it is because some banks they've already adopt the sysytem of cryptocurrencies.
Though, it can't be deny that majority of them really hate it, because most of it are centralized based system while bitcoin was decentralized
so wondered why they are against with it.

There might be several reasons as to why a banker hate bitcoins, mainly because the wider use of bitcoins can cause people to stop approaching banks for any transactions and they fear that they might loose their job, Bitcoins has brought a tremendous breakthrough in the history of finance using and transacting finances worldwide. Another reason may be because of the blockchain technology which is decentralized and so no third party can control the transactions other than the sender.

Not all of banks hate bitcoin because of that reason. Actually there are now many news that banks want to use blockchain technology. Even though bitcoin is threat to them because bitcoin of the uses and function of the bitcoin. But they can use the blockchain technology for them to improve their transactions.

One thing for sure if Cryptocurrency becomes the next generation money definitely there will be no more banks, everyone will be bankers on their own. And besides saying all bankers hate bitcoin I don't think its 100% to what you have said most bankers in the world today let's say 70% have made their wealth from bitcoin as a whole.

I agree with your opinion. Not all banks hates cryptocurrency, maybe some see bitcoin as their competitors but if their banks are strong they will not afraid and hate it instead they will collaborate with cryptocurrency to use it as a transaction. Its good to combine those two because it helps the economic of the country.

not all bankers hate bitcoin, but from news and statements that often appear in the news, most of them do hate cryptocurrency. but I feel that what they are doing is not just a form of unpreparedness and maybe a little surprised by the discovery of a new revolution in the global financial transaction system. in fact, there are many central banks in some countries that are slowly starting to accept and give bitcoin a little place while still making regulations as a barrier.

Despite openly expressed dissatisfaction with Bitcoin by banking institutions, in my opinion, banking capital has long been involved in cryptocurrency transactions. The reason for this is huge profits that can be gained by trading in cryptocurrency. I would not be surprised if it turns out that large banking conglomerates are behind the development of Bitcoin.

Most of them hate bitcoin because technology allows users to trade directly with each other, no real need for the middleman. Banks earn plenty by charging fees in money transactions/actions involving money. Blockchain solves double spending problem.

I do  not think so ! If you are  taxi driver and you someone ask  what do you think about Uber ? the person is trying to tell you to turn to uber !!  Most bank in my country invested in crypto last year  but right now they are all in crises  this years alone bank of Ghana has close down more than 10  banks down because they are in crises because they put huge investment in bitcoins !!

That is right. I am sure that many bankers use Bitcoin and some other popular cryptocurrencies themselves. Naturally, many of them prefer to stay anonymous, but it does not matter at all.

I think the banks had some other technical problem with the big guy that's why they are regulating the usage of Bitcoin in bags otherwise Bitcoin has more useful currency in this stage so we cannot declared the usage of Bitcoin at anytime soon the banks will accept it.

Well you can be right but by saying that all bank hates bitcoin not at all. We know whu banks hates it because of no tax can get it and every people can participatw on trading also its risky. Well most likely this is the reason why banks hate it but theres a other banks thay support it getting a profit by using it as a payment on bill buying things that support bitcoin.

Obviously , because it will take down banks all over the world. Its advance technology unlike the traditional banking bitcoin will destroy the bank system. It will lead cashless because of digitalization we can no longer use paper money in the future.

Cryptocurrency is here to revamp the banking sector, even though it is going to take job from some of the bankers (reason why most bankers hate it) some international banks are already exploring possibilities that could make them integrate the new blockchain/Bitcoin system without an hitch.

If BTC becomes part of daily life then banking systems will be badly impacted thats the reason most of the banks do not want BTC to be in mainstream.
Banks know that decentralize technology is cheap and effective and its regular use will effect banking business badly.

To an extent the banking business may get impacted if btc is used across the world especially in case of remittances where the people have to wait and spend more fees while transferring form one country to another. But in crypto it takes only few mins and hardly any fees to transfer the coins.

I don't think you can say that all bankers hate BTC but I think some of them do.
Its more likely the ones who are threatened by crypto currency because any smart banker knows that fiat will always surpass Bitcoin, not the other way around.

you don't expect bankers to declare their support for bitcoin officially, i mean bitcoin is a direct and a passive competitor to the banking system, no one will support what threatens it's very existence, but behind the scene, some bankers are passively involve in crypto currency. I have proof to back my claims.

They will support it but they will not be adopting it like they are the one following with the current norms.
Government is here to regulate us and there is no exemption, all crypto will be regulated and we shall be in compliance with the law they will create in order to enjoy using crypto. With regulation it will make people build their confidence in crypto because they'll think they are more protected.

You are wrong and I am not agreed in the question stated in the above, because there are some other banks now in the other countries that are already adopted the system of cryptocurrency, though bank are centralized but instead fighting or hate of it, they ride with the flow in terms of trend in the blockchain technology.

To an extent the banking business may get impacted if btc is used across the world especially in case of remittances where the people have to wait and spend more fees while transferring form one country to another. But in crypto it takes only few mins and hardly any fees to transfer the coins.

Bankers will hate bitcoin because bitcoin is the direct threat to their jobs. If bitcoin become the main currency and fiat is eliminated, then  there will no need of banks and bitcoins are not managed by the local banks. Banks can only control centralized currencies and bitcoins are decentralized.

I think not all bankers hated bitcoin, several of them might also owns some significant amount of bitcoin and support possible use of blockchain technology in the banking industry. But I believe that some traditional banks are really against bitcoin due to its decentralized system while others are said to be sending a mixed signals. These hostile banks believe that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are risky and unprofitable for them.

Not all but most. But it doesn't mean they are not amazed on the technology. They will be using it in the future but as much as possible will try to evade the influence of bitcoin because they want to take control of everything.

in my opinion not all of them do not hate because there is a bitcoin that can benefit the bank so that all are not hated by just a few

Bankers hate all who have their own money and do not keep them in their bank, even other bankers.
Bitcoin does not need a third party to provide transactions, so it automatically becomes the enemy of the bankers, because it deprives them of their income.
This is the basic principle of decentralization, and for that we love Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

I agree, I think the banks can see that their future is gonna be bad is the cryptosystem is gonna continue to be applied in every country, they would get lesser and lesser money on their hands and soon enough will start to shut down. I cant blame banks for feeling like that, the cryptosystem is just so convenient, you can use it any where and anytime as long as you got internet.

There are some bankers that probably still do not understand the power of cryptocurrencies and they may think this market will eventually disappear but once they realize the truth it is likely they will become our biggest enemies and this will make them very aggressive in their moves against bitcoin but by then it will be too late and bitcoin will be unstoppable.

For me,i don't believe that all bankers hate BTC because whether they like it or not,for sure bitcoin will be a part of bank's transaction in the coming years. This is already becoming inevitable especially that bitcoin is gaining more popularity as the years go onwards.Maybe some banks have hated BCT secretly but  they should not think of bitcoin as a threat because this may be the only solution for our economy to prosper.

Bankers were the indirect investors of bitcoin. When banking sector begins loving bitcoin automatically banking sectors will get affected. The fear of bankers on bitcoin is upon the technology that makes bitcoin successful. Some banks have begun adopting the technology and develop their own cryptocurrency for all transactions.

Exactly bitcoin is an independent coin since long it was alone and it’s growing alone. Bankers are now forced to support it because it has high potential to grow on its self. Infect there are so many banking’s who are adopting bitcoin and block chain security system. So it’s good to think positive now people trust in bitcoin more than banks to save their money longer.

Banks are not profitable when there is competition in the market, especially such as BTC and other Altcoins, they understand that the payment system of banks can suffer very much, and they express all the negative, instead of introducing cryptocurrency in their banks

In my opinion is not right. Some of the bankers are also aware of the importance of Bitcoin and they invest heavily. Some of my friends are typical because he quit his job in a bank and stayed at home and do bitcoin.

I don't think this is the right opinion. It's true that banks see bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general as a competition but they don't hate them. In fact I think they are considering options how to get use and profit out of them for themselves but they want cryptocurrencies to be regulated and put into some strict legal framework just like their business is.

I don't think that banks hate bitcoin now. Bitcoin is still not so captured by the economy (more precisely, Bitcoin will still need a lot of time for this). Therefore, banks don't see the threat in the face of Bitcoin. And those who are smarter than the rest, see the benefits now, in the implementation of Bitcoin in everyday life.

I think that you are wrong.
Bankers have no difference what financial assets to manage.
If states legalize bitcoin as a currency, trust me - the first to vote for bitcoin are bankers.

Not all bankers like banks system. Some just end up no choice.
It is  the same in bitcoin but the different is some bankers invest just to try their ability to analyze such volatile and unstable investment.

No, you are probably wrong. Remember that the bankers, I mean many of them, those who are employees or only hired for their services are not really serving their bosses wholeheartedly. There are bankers who are there because there is so much money in there. The enemy of Bitcoin are those who are not only bankers but bank owners. They are the ones who are exploiting not just the poor but also their very own workforce. They are treating them like robots, puppets who are only there to make the owners a lot richer.

The beginning of the bank's profits certainly comes from the user's deposits which are used for various businesses. if users are getting fewer because many of them are turning to decentralized systems which are bitcoin. of course it will reduce profits even to the detriment of the bank itself. it's a relationship between bank hate bitcoin

Bankers are under pressure they are afraid of growing power of bitcoin that are worried about their future because people now knows it’s useless to keep your money in banks for years and gets Nothing at the end that’s why they are investing because investing in bitcoin gives them profit and saved their money from lose.... so they should be worry now.

Many bankers and businessmen are interested in cryptocurrency and consider its implementation in their business, I recently read an article about it. So do not assume that all banks have a negative attitude to bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it is not.

I think so bankers and governments are hating bitcoin because of the power of it and the technology of bitcoin have with the help of blockchain technology bitcoin are powerful that could afraid of the everyone.

No. Blockchain technology is not something that should feared even by bankers or thr government. The government are banning them for some reasons and the reason that it has Blockchain technology is not one of them. Instead of fearing them, they should be able to use them as it will develop new technologies that can be used by them.

Well, hardly the same bankers hate bitcoin. Most likely, most simply do not understand what benefit it will bring to their business. And not the stability of bitcoin also plays a negative role. But I don't think it will last forever. Many will still understand that there is nothing wrong with using cryptocurrency.

Of course, not all bankers hate bitcoin, because many large organizations already accept it. Every day I see more and more news that some company has started to use bitcoin or cryptocurrency in its activities. And I hope that this trend will grow more and more.

maybe they say the opposite for XRP, I'm sure they are still exploring bitcoin without being publicly known and acting as if against it.

The best of one economic circle is to realize the potential that is developing, they also need research for all new things and especially bitcoin, they will not hate one thing that is indeed related to alternative currencies.

Something like that, but those that were bitcoin dealers before they got the bank job might not really hate bitcoin

Banks never hate cryptocurrencies rather the see crypto as what will take over their firms/job if given the opportunity which many cause joblessness for most of the staffs and lost of profits as many people will prefer going through Bitcoin instead of normal centralized fiat transactions with high fee and tax most especially for cross border payments.

For this reason, the bank cannot adjust the performance of bitcoin, so bitcoin is considered a threat to the bank. Even if the bank is able to issue a digital transaction tool itself it might have another perception. This is what will become a more interesting competition, but will the bank do this?
