Not all of them time holding is great strategy but well, most of them time it is. Yes, the price did go low as the year progresses and there are dumps and small pumps that happened. Now that the price is not that high, I recommend to instead of holding your own BTCs it is better to also invest again on Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Not only that you might see this price just this year, it would also give you a good profit as another year progresses. If i had money then yep i would invest more as i belive recover of market is coming soon ,and all this time havent sell tokens/coins and i hold most of my coins ,hope i will not regret for it and i will be rewarded for it , most important lesson from 2018 is when someone wants do ICO must be sure usable product will be done.

if you expect to have more money then you have to make a backup of funds before, if you don't have a back up of funds then it's better to sell some of the coins you hold, and wait for a lower price, then buy again. financial management is important when conditions like that  dude.

Investing right now still be good for him but he needs to choose only for potential coin, and I am sure he can find many of them in the market. Besides of long-term investment, I suggest making it short-term investment because this can give him some profit in the beginning while he can wait for the bull run comes. The funniest thing with this market or any market right now, most especially when you are gradually approaching the bottom is the likelihood of long term sideways movement before the continuation of a certain trend or the reversal of a trend. What? It is the best time to invest now. The price of Bitcoin is not that high anymore and it has a possibility of giving you more profit since the price might increase in the upcoming months. We are now in 2019, the year that bitcoin should makes some positive movements.  I believe that this year will favour those that were able to hold and invest in 2018 especially when bitcoin went down to $3200.
