by OP, the daily volume that time was over $13 billions while now we have a volume of over $30 billion, this could possibly be a real bull run.

That huge amount really make things being felt inside CMC, as expected halving is approaching many investors and traders are working on it, they are doing a good analyzing regarding to this movements and taking advantage of every flow, ETH indeed rallying keeping his position.

ETH has not reach it's good price yet, it's been dump and very undervalued now, getting back in no. 2 is just a small achievement
because even if we are at that spot now, the competition is still close and our price is not yet considered a good price.
ETH has a good volume that's why it's easy to dump it and pump it, it's the traders who are responsible for this but for long term, I'm expecting a rise.

A little decrease on the overall trading volume now, I hope it will not affect the upward movement of ETH.
It seems like the movement going up has pause a bit, and I think we are in a crucial stage now, and I'm hoping the next move will still be going uptrend.

ETH will secure its position back to no:2 because look at the supply and demand for both the coins, in long term ETH will give huge profit to the people who acquired the coins when the price of ETH is very low in the market. After Bitcoin, ETH has higher chances to get the ETF approvals from the government officials.

ETH has a strong foundation so I had no doubt it will return to the 2nd place. Fundamental analysis suggests that temporary loss of position in favor of xrp is of minor importance for eth growth in the longer term. Eth is the most important of the altcoins and I don't think it will change in the near future.

The fact is that only because of the increased demand for ethereal its capitalization has increased, In addition, this indicates an increase in the popularity of ETH  on the cryptocurrency market. Apparently everyone expects the result of updates, and therefore invests his money in ethereum.
