If we combine all altcoin market, yes it's bigger than bitcoin itself but remember, altcoin origin code is from bitcoin.
I can say that without bitcoin there will be no altcoin.

Technology wise some of the altcoins are far better than bitcoin and I believe in future some of them nights have high adoptions than bitcoin.  I think bitcoin is in the name and not in the way we see it.  The foundation of cryptocurrencies market is bitcoin and that is what makes it populars than others coins or altcoins.

Yes, altcoins may not recover complete until bitcoin will recover first. It is always happening like bitcoin will rise first and then altcoins will be following it.

There are few altcoins which have performed well to get its holder some good reasons and due to this reason some people are misguiding other people like altcoins are best but the actual thing is, bitcoin alone must be the always best coin to invest with and to hold forever. Because it may never get delisted whereas most other coins are at risk to get delisted at any time when their trading volume is not meeting the exchange's requirements.

I would not talk like that about all altcoins. No need to generalize all. There are both promising altcoins and garbage altcoins. It is necessary to consider each separately.

Not all altcoins because most of them are just a weak coins who are here to make some money and not to give us good service. If altcoins is the best, why bitcoin is still on top? I still believe on bitcoin  because of that and I know no altcoins can beat bitcoin, let’s just buy good altcoins but never think that atcoins will go beyond bitcoin.

They are faster because there is not much who are using it, means the traffic is also low.

While on the other hand bitcoin and ethereum have a usage that soars to the roof and yet they are still faster than any altcoin out there.

If I were you, I'd go finding the secured ones rather than just transaction time and for profit.

Not all of altcoins are worthy to make investment. I lose big amount of money because I hold wrong altcoins. After I lose big amount of money,  I realized that there are only few altcoins that are valuable and good for investments.
