One part of your post is right that altcoins offer more features and are cheaper and faster to transfer but being more profitable is a big question mark right now and i think if they are more profitable then at the same time they are more risky, volatile and can hive potentially big losses as well. Altcoins are faster and cheaper to transact because it doesn't have as much transactions that Bitcoin and Ethereum has. Put  those altcoins on the same situation of Bitcoin that has huge trading volume, it will surely experience congestion on its blockchain and miner fees will also increase. It is true that we can earn huge profits from altcoins because it is cheap but the problem is most altcoins will not give you profits because they are useless. It is still better to trade or invest long term on coins that has huge volumes.

It depends on which way you are convenient. Whthere a long term or a short term investment. Altcoins are best when you are doing a short term investment or a day to day trading. But when you say you are holding it for a longterm, then you might get it wrong.

Im aggre for altcoins can  be the better but not at all. Technology'll never be perfect, inovations, things, IoT, Idea be happend. That is why many altcoins have sprung up with certain innovations.
