I've deleted your (duplicate) post. It's obvious you're only posting to earn Merit. You should worry less about Merit. You learn more from reading than from posting.

I find it rather surprising that this thread is much less active than the one by Fillippone https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5412657.0. I wonder why that is, are you perhaps stricter than he is?   How many merit sources are there anyway? Are you 2 the only ones who are doing this? Anyway here is my application. Is there a round limit here? Number of posts included per round? I just went with what I saw others do on the previous page.

That's it I think, all the posts that I consider to be maybe good and have no merit. Some are better than others, but I didn't want to include just anything to get the number to 10 or so.

This is my first shot, hopefully it goes as expected & I don't get on the ignore list.

Maybe users are just afraid of getting onto the ignore list. Certainly with the first application I feel the same.

I'm not sure how this thread works, but from what I've seen on older pages, users are trying to report posts made by other users & (maybe) this can also be done using your own posts. One clear rule in this thread is don't spam if you don't want to be ignored.

Maybe users are just afraid of getting onto the ignore list. Certainly with the first application I feel the same.  

Probably bros, by the way, I'm in the preparation of my fourth application, I hope reviewers enjoy seeing what I got from our local board.

I am not sure if all those posts you listed here are worth merit. In most cases, your posts will be appreciated by people if they are worthy of appreciation. This thread is to report unmerited good posts, not for average posts that we usually write and are part of some discussion. I think if someone writes something extraordinary, or gives a lot of effort, but does not get merit for that post, that should be reported here. Not some random discussion. 

No offense, but I see people report almost everything they think is a good post in Fillippone thread. People are supposed to report good posts in these threads.

I speak for myself. I was designated a merit source with a special focus on my local forum. Only when I can't find posts to merit in my local forum, and I have merits left over from my source, do I come here. I imagine the other merit sources are similar. Being a merit source doesn't mean you have all the merits to send every day. Maybe you run out and go 10 days without merits. Then you don't come to this thread.

It might just be me but putting yourself in for awards is pretty tacky IMO.

Posts should be made for the betterment of the topic you are in, community overall, with zero regard as to if you are going to get a pat on the head and a doggy biscuit for it.  Narcissism rarely earns merit.

If someone is posting worthy stuff, it will eventually get noticed.  The true merit imo is engagement by others, people taking you up in a civil conversation based on what you posted, replied to or commented on,  NOT some brownie point, that subjectively, could be manipulated.

Don't worry about numbers which, ironically, those who DO matter, really don't care about.... because they understand, it's just a number.  Worry more about accurate and well thought out posts instead and the merit will follow.

My “merit reviews” are subject of my own standards, and being the sole merit contributor of a user doesn’t bother me.
I prefer meriting a user who put effort in what he wrote to encourage merit circulation.
But we all know how merit system works, in the end.

Not a problem bros, I'm just trying to be useful as a forum user, especially our local section, because some time ago there was a discussion about the lack of merit distribution there. I was also surprised to see how the list was filled almost entirely with bros @fillippone. Well, with that finding, I think I need to be more careful in selecting posts from users who really put in the effort.

I think that you should select those who have talent and give them merit. So that after receiving the award, they will be interested in showing their talent even better and their rating can increase. I am new to the forum and I hope that you all will help me so that I can follow the rules and regulations of the forum and reach my goal.

fillippone's thread is kind of dedicated to local board posts review, while you actually encourage people to submit good quality posts that are written in English. Do you expect people to submit their local board posts as well? I think it is more important to focus on your goal, which actually creates a borderline between your thread and other merit sources. I expect people to submit extraordinary posts here, which could be somewhat informative or helpful to others. If you start sending merits to the posts that were mentioned above, you will see more similar applications in your thread, and your thread will become more popular. I am sure you do not want popularity over quality.

My thread confirms there are barely any good quality posts that don't get Merited. I still hope for the rare exception on which I can dump 50 Merits as I have thousands to give, but I don't see those posts.
