Hello there!

Just want to report this good opinions and answers regarding the topic, almost all of the feedbacks and replies deserve a Merit if you'll gonna ask me, I'm currently lacking some sMerits to spend so I just want to ask for help on a bit if you may. But if you don't feel like giving them because of you own discretion, I still accept your decision whole-heartedly ( it's your sMerits in the first place ) .

I would like to draw your attention to the user: @wwzsocki . Thanks to this guy, the Polish local subboard finally began to live. His thread Czemu nie nagradzamy sie Meritami? deservedly became the most popular topic on our local Polish subboard, and he is also the author of many other threads and discussions, thanks to which the Polish subbard, which for years was bypassed by domestic users, finally became interesting.

@wwzsocki obviously is not limited only to local threads / posts but also publishes many of them on English-language boards.

In addition, he is the victim of the merit ;-) system, which was introduced a week before his promotion to the hero member. Since then, thanks to some good texts, he has already collected over 200 merit and only 41 have been left to reach his dream hero rank.

What a pain in the ass--I visited the thread by clicking that link and found a few posts I wanted to merit, but when I went to merit the first one I get the message saying I am not able to merit that post (my words).  That's because I have Bitcoin Discussion on ignore, so I had to temporarily un-ignore that section in order to send merits in that thread.  I'm not saying this is a huge problem, but it is annoying.  It would be nice if you could merit posts in sections you have on ignore without having to jump through hoops.

Anyway, there were quite a few good posts there, but most of them were made by Legendary members.  I gave out a few merits only to members below that rank.  The last batch of statistics showed that something like 10% of merits were given to members in the Newbie-Jr. Member ranks, which is very low IMO.  I'm trying to find good posts by users who really need them to rank up.  Not easy.

Exactly what I am doing now and I like what you are doing as well. I am always trying to spend my merit to low rank users. I am just looking for good post (not called high quality).

By the way, the provide link was wrong, I was quote my previous post in order to save time, in a result I forgot to change topic link. Anyway corrected now. However at least 2 user got merit for my wrong link

Agreed. Here is a trick I use to hunt for good newbies (unfortunately, it only works for newbies and no other rank):

Change x, y and z (and as many more additional numbers you like) to the numbers of boards you are interested in. This essentially gives you a list of the most recent posts by newbies in those boards. For example:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,77,6,37,4;patrol

This will give you all the most recent (last hour or two, depending on overall post volume) newbie posts from Bitcoin Discussion, Press, Technical Discussion, Wallet Software and Technical Support. Stringing together a list of 10 or more boards usually gives you a decent number of newbie posts to look through. I generally check it every couple of hours I'm active, but still, pickings can be slim.

Although this topic has been merited by The Pharmacist and me and I think he have received enough merit for that post. But I am wondering to help him for rank up with two merit. I was willing to help but I have't enough.  And yes, I have helped one guy on this same thread to rank up, there was lack of one merit. Although post wasn't much good but I sent him one merit just for rank up.  Hope someone from merit source will consider two merit for mentioned user.
