Up to them, but if I can't read it, I probably won't Merit it. Others may still do it.

My thread confirms there are barely any good quality posts that don't get Merited. I still hope for the rare exception on which I can dump 50 Merits as I have thousands to give, but I don't see those posts.

the biggest news I can think of for 2025 is fees can be as low as 0.1 sat and if you go for 0.3 or 0.4 sats they mostly always work.


Anything else new that affects most every BTC user I do not know.

Although some claim the new core 30 is a big deal.

I am not sure if that directly affects every user as much as low fees do.

Sir, I don't know if you mistakenly replied to the wrong thread but from your statement it's obvious you did cause their discussion was about disturbution of merits and how popular Fillippone's thread is, compared to Loyce V's.
 However your reply was about tx fees and the new core 30 being a big deal. Although I'm still pondering on Loyce v's statement "i have thousands to give, but I don't see those posts".

True, Bitcoin development alone makes it very hard to get rid of Merit.

What's there to ponder? I've sent 64,000 sMerit and have a few thousand left. Put this way, the remaining amount is just a few percent.

Here, watch this thread it is still pretty new. Consumerism and Destructive Behavior: A Case against ANY Monetary Inflation. It took us several months of coordination to get this done, and the level of the analysis is not as high as we'd prefer but the audience for such a thing is not available here. Any validation through merits or responses is welcome, but neither d5000 nor me are in real need of merits. The other reason why I am posting is that potential merit givers can watch this thread for future responses.

There are already a few very good posts that do deserve merit, even if some of the things stated are incorrect or misguided. They have put effort in reading and responding adequately and extensively. That said, please do not give any merit to potential generic or low-quality posts that may be written in the future. Not even a single merit, thanks. I didn't self moderate the thread on purpose, but we don't want it to turn into one of those mega threads where 99% of the posts are junk.
